Exploring the Waters of Tolantongo
We will meet at the "Angel de Independencia" between early morning to escape the city chaos. Our group will have private comfortable transportation. We will stop for an early breakfast in Actopan, a city halfway to our destination. The day is divided into three parts. Pool Tranquility: Start your day relaxing a while in the “pocitos”; naturally warm thermal pools that provide astounding views that soothe & clear the body and mind –perfect for “the gram.” River Relaxation: Next, the turquoise-colored river is well-managed and is naturally warm due to the thermal springs, a complete relaxing experience. Lunch will be alongside the river (weather permitting). Cave Exploration: Finally, you will see awe-inspiring waterfalls and unexpected adventure that our guests have described as “life changing.” We will head out by 5:30PM arriving between 9-10:00PM, full of new experiences and photos to share with envious family/friends. During this experience, you will learn to cook the famous "tacos al pastor" with my dad, a professional instructor and culinary artist, who will share his tips and recipes with you. We'll meet at the local market to buy ingredients and learn more about Mexican spices and food. Then we'll return to my family home, where you will learn how to marinate the meat for the tacos. You will prepare red salsa, green salsa, and guacamole, and make your own tortillas on the traditional Mexican "Comal"—a smooth, flat griddle. Once aboard, we will head to the amazing place of Xochimilco, here we will sail through its rivers and while that happens around us we will have a mariachi show. After that we will move to Coyoacán we will start our visit by touring its streets, believe me that it is a magical place that I am sure you will be fascinated, we will have times to tour the Coyoacan market, something that makes this place incredible is that throughout the tour you can take the best photos. We will go to a cafe called Jarocho, here you can taste a churro plus a cup of chocolate and coffee. BTW THIS MOLE IS FRIENDLY IF YOU’RE VEGAN/VEGETARIAN and if you have allergies we can accommodate tasty options For dessert we will have an amazing PULQUE TASTING!! where you’ll get to try 4 kinds of pulque (including distilled versions) that we proudly produce in our FAMILY Finally we’ll go back to CDMX arriving between 3-3:30pm
