They are from Maize, agritourism experience and local cuisine
We will board a cayuco in the morning and walk the canals to get to "Olintlalli", admiring some of the natural and organic richness that the place has. We will observe different types of birds, while the guide tells them about them and some historical data of the place. When you arrive at the Chinampa, you will be greeted with the smoke of the copal and the sound of the drum. We will enjoy a rich breakfast made with the chinamper corn that we grow. You'll learn the theory steps we've developed to grow with ancestral techniques. We will take a tour of the different crops at the same time that we harvest the supplies to prepare the food of the day (the dish depends on the time of year and the planting). The experience is surrounded by corn, so we will carry out some activity related to its cultivation, whether it is sowing, chaponeo, corn harvesting, corn pixca, mazorcan landing and seed selection. The activity depends on the time of year and the stage in which the milpa is located. You will learn some legends about corn, parts of the plant, tools used by farmers, farmers for their cultivation, storage and/or transformation: COA, Cincolote, Olotera, Molino, Metate. They will learn about the nixtamification process and grind Nixtamal to make: tortillas, soups, quesadillas, tetelas or tlacoyos that we will eat.
XOCHIMILCO ALL INCLUSIVE ART-FOOD-DRINKS
After picking you up in the place you're staying (or a midpoint in case we have different groups) we will visit Xochimilco's downtown market, the place where locals get their goods and the main place of Mexico City where people buy plants and flowers. After that we will go to the Trajineras of Xochimilco, a boat ride on what's left of the ancient water ducts, where the aztecs used to transport. There we will eat typical mexican food (tacos, quesadillas and sopes (veggie available) ) and taste different mexican beers (they can be three different mexican sodas if you don't drink alcohol). During all the experience we'll be chatting and learning about Xochimilco and it's cultural relevance in México. After that I'll take you back where I picked you up, hoping you had an amazing day. WARNING: In the rare case only one person takes the experience, I would have to reschedule your experience for another day with more guests. Other things to note I recommend to have a strong breakfast before I pick you up. If you get hungry quickly I recommend to bring a snack. I also recommend to bring one or two 5 pesos coins. This are for bathrooms fees in the Trajinera
