In the Maya language, Akumal means place of the turtle. That is because many sea turtles are full-time residents of Akumal Bay. That makes seeing turtles out in the bay very possible when you're with an experienced guide like me. I'll meet you near the beach and provide you with life jacket and snorkeling gear. I will then take you through an exclusive entrance onto the beach of Akumal Bay. At the beach, I'll give you instructions on how to use your equipment, where we'll be swimming, what marine life you can expect to see, how to be mindful and respectful of the marine life and environment, and most importantly, how to be safe in the water. Once we enter the water, we'll take a brief pause to make sure everyone is comfortable in the water and with their equipment. Then, I'll guide you around the circuit and show you all of the marine life that Akumal Bay has to offer. You can see sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas, reef squid, coral reef and many other tropical fish. After we've had fun in the water, we'll head back to shore and I'll take your equipment. If you need any help with the rest of your day, I'll be there to assist you. Other things to note You do not need to be a strong swimmer to participate in my tour but you should at least be comfortable in the water. In our place of peace "Temazcal y Masajes Pixan" we are a team of people preserving our culture, everyone is welcome to our space With the support of Nayel and Yaollin (the man who guides the temazcal), we start welcoming people, I explain the Temazcal process, that is a traditional Mexican steam bath, which originated with pre-Hispanic Indigenous peoples, Is used as part of a curative ceremony thought to purify the body and balance mind, body and spirit. With sahumerio, copal and incense I make a energetic cleaning (preparation before entering the Temazcal). Afterwards, we enter at the Temazcal and we sit around the navel. Then the previously heated volcanic stones, which emit steam, emerge. The place becomes little warm, While the body rids itself of toxins through sweating, the spirit is renewed through ritual. And we will learn the importance of the words, the silence and the strength of the songs, making relaxing but also fun dynamics. When we finish we go out and shower in the garden with a rustic watering can, the water purifies our body. After I offer abundant and varied fresh fruits and natural fruit waters gift from our Mother Earth. Besides promoting physical well-being and healing, the Temazcal is also a ritual and spiritual practice in which traditional healing methods are used to encourage reflection and introspection. We will take a small tour of iconic places in Downtown Mexico City so you can get to know part of the architecture and culture of Mexico, we can take the opportunity to take some photos in different places and so you have a beautiful memory of this tour. Our route will begin outside of Palacio de Bellas Artes to take advantage of its imposing Art Deco and Neoclassical style, and we will continue the route until we reach the MUNAL Museum, which has a neoclassical and Renaissance style.

This magical experience starts in our meeting spot in our town Chemuyil, where we will get ready for our adventure. My town is located: -20-25 mins approx. from Tulum (downtown) -35-40 mins approx. from Playa del Carmen (downtown) -2 hrs. approx. from Cancun (downtown) If you don’t have a car, or don’t know how to get to this place, please feel free to contact me to get more recommendations on transportation you can use. We will ride on our bicycles through our hometown making our way to three different cenotes around our community. Physical wear with the bicycles is minimum. We spend most of the time in the water. Riding the bicycles will be, 20-25 mins(total). Distance from cenote to cenote is 5-10 mins. If you are looking for a fancy activity, something fast, big company tours, this is DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU. After a journey, on a ground transportation, of more than 8km in the middle of the jungle, we will immerse ourselves in a cave and underground river system for a guided exploration, crossing the most surreal rock formations. Helmets well screwed on the head, and water shoes on, we will let our lights pierce the darkness and silence to make way for a world as ancient as magical. We will sail on canoe through the most conserved channels of Xochimilco wetland. During the tour, we will tell you about the history of the place and its importance to the sustainability of Mexico City. In your way, you will recognize the biological richness like birds, snakes, frogs and plants. We will arrive at a chinampa where you can get your hands dirty experiencing the ancestral technique of cultivation and discovering why it is considered a world heritage. What you'll do The first step will be to show you the ingredients that you can find in all Oaxacan homes, one of the advantages of our experience is that we have a garden with herbs and organic chilis. Baldo my son will share his knowledge in mezcal. We have an extend variety of agaves and homemade creations that you need to try. An open bar of mezcal is waiting for you. Snacks? Of course but you need to do Oaxacan style which includes worms, chicatanas and chapulines. Fist course we will offer chileajo tostadas and fruit water. Have you heard anything about the metate and how tortillas are made by hand? Here we will show you how to make tortillas, tetelas and memelitas. One of my specialties is salsas made in a molcajete, we will roast the ingredients over charcoal and comal. In every class we make 4 to 6 salsas depending seasonal ingredients. The mole is the emblem of our cuisine and we will make one of the 7 moles from scratch using a metate, you can’t leave our home without tasting our mole negro, chocolate de agua, café de olla, nieves and a delicious cake. Everyone will participate in the different processes, cutting ingredients from the garden, making sauces and of course eating. During this experience, you will learn to cook the famous "tacos al pastor" with my dad, a professional instructor and culinary artist, who will share his tips and recipes with you. We'll meet at the local market to buy ingredients and learn more about Mexican spices and food. Then we'll return to my family home, where you will learn how to marinate the meat for the tacos. You will prepare red salsa, green salsa, and guacamole, and make your own tortillas on the traditional Mexican "Comal"—a smooth, flat griddle. At the end, we'll put everything together to make the tacos, sit and enjoy what you have prepared, and learn a little more about Mexican gastronomy. We are Martín and Melqui local guides, who grew up since we were children in this local community. It is a privilege for us to take you to snorkel and swim with white and green turtles, hopefully colorful fish, coral reef, rays, squid, and barracudas. Itinerary: 9 am We pick you up at your Hotel in Cancun, we will pick you up in a luxury Acadia GMC van. 10 am We arrive in Puerto Morelos, we will visit the pier and take photos watching the sea with the most beautiful shades of turquoise blue, we walk towards the beach where we will settle, we can relax and meet the locals, tan and enjoy the serenity of this town. 11 am Snorkeling, leaving from the beach swimming, we will explore the wonderful coral reef, I will help you and give instructions so that you can do it easily. 2 pm Visit to the local handicraft market and we will eat in a typical food restaurant of the place (food not included in the reservation cost) 4 pm Return to the city of Cancun.

Your tour commences at the ferry pier in Cozumel downtown. On the way to the reef you will be explained how to enjoy more your visit, the basics of snorkeling, what to do and what not to do during the tour. We make a short stop at the Paradise Beach pier to board passengers, then will sail to the world famous Palancar reef for a 45 minute guided snorkeling adventure. After snorkeling, we will sail to the calm waters of the sandbar at El Cielo, a natural wonder where the sea is cobalt blue, crystalline and shallow with the tropical jungle as a background, the ocean bottom is all powder sand; you can relax and enjoy this unspoiled location for about 45 minutes. The next stop is at the private beach to enjoy included non motorized aquatic toys such as ocean trampoline, floats, kayaks, etc. lunch on the beach based on one delicious cheeseburger per person made out of imported beef and a bag of potato chips; unlimitednsodas, purified water, margaritas, and draft beer are included too. We spend one hour at the beach to relax, have lunch and enjoy the aqua park, we will sail back to the departure pier, the boat's crew will serve your drinks and invite you to dance classic beach tunes.
