Syncing your Airbnb calendar with other calendars

Congratulations—your place is popular! If you list it on other websites, you can prevent multiple guests from booking the same dates by syncing your Airbnb calendar with your other calendars. You can do this for dates up to one year in the future. Learn more about updating your Host calendar to address any issues with blocked dates.

Calendar importing

Calendar importing allows you to manually sync your Airbnb calendar with external calendars that support the iCalendar (iCal) format. Google calendar is not automatically syncing, manual refresh is required to sync calendars

Your Airbnb calendar automatically resyncs every 2 hours, although the frequency of resyncs by your external calendars is determined by their owners (ex: HomeAway or Vrbo). One more thing to note: You can’t pause a synced calendar. If you want to stop, then start back up, you’ll need to remove the calendar, then import it again.

To import a calendar

  1. Go to Listings and select the listing you want
  2. Go to Pricing and availability > Calendar sync
  3. Click Import calendar
  4. Copy the URL for your non-Airbnb calendar into the Calendar address field
  5. Name the calendar you’re about to import
  6. Click Import calendar

To remove a synced calendar, find the listing and click or tap the trash can icon next to the synced calendar.

To export a calendar

  1. Go to Listings and select the listing you want
  2. Go to Pricing and availability > Calendar sync
  3. Click Export calendar
  4. In the Export calendar window, copy the link, then paste it into your other iCal-based calendar
  5. Exit the Export calendar window

Note: Third-party calendar applications or services can’t exceed 600 sync requests per minute per IP address. More than this will trigger a 429 error, so you’ll need to slow down your calendar requests, spread them out, or retry later.
