Right of Regret in Colombia

Under the laws of Colombia, guests may withdraw from an online booking for a period of five business days after confirmation (known as “right of regret”) and receive a full refund regardless of the cancellation policy that otherwise applies to the Reservation (as defined in our Terms of Service). If the Reservation is made fewer than five business days before the check-in date or the Stay has already begun, the right of regret does not apply. The five-day period to exercise the right of regret will always be measured from the original booking date, even if a guest later modifies the Reservation.

Effect on Hosts

If a guest exercises their right of regret and cancels a Reservation, this action overrides the Host’s cancellation policy and the Host will not be entitled to any payout for the canceled Reservation. In most cases, this means that the Host will not be paid for the Reservation. If for any reason the Host is paid despite the guest’s exercise of their right of regret, Airbnb may recover that amount as provided for in our Payments Terms of Service. Your calendar then would remain open for another guest to book your listing.

Note: The process above only applies to domestic bookings where the Host and Guest have Colombia as their country of residence.
