Close to National and State Parks, Skiing, Hiking, Camping, Watauga Lake, Boone and Blowing Rock, NC; Damascus and Abingdon, VA . We are centrally located to major attractions but be careful if sightseeing, adventure, or family fun is on your agenda. Once you are here, you might not want to leave. Our 3600 square foot, three story home on the New River was one of the highest occupancy vacation rentals in Boone for years while we lived overseas. There is plenty of space in this large home. Come and play year round. Enjoy the LARGE yard and 3 DECKS, hot tub, fire pit, kayak or tube rides, fishing, two vented fireplaces in our home with propane gas fuel for winter and air conditioning for the summer. Great home for family gatherings. Pets Welcome at no extra charge.

A beautiful place for the outdoor lover or App State Mountaineer fan, come fall asleep to the sounds of a creek running past the house. Secluded & private, our mountain retreat is just a short walk to Elk Knob State Park & only ~15 minutes from downtown Boone. It's accessible year-round, though you may need all-wheel/4-wheel drive during the winter months if there is snow or freezing weather. The road is plowed, but some parts are steep & can be slippery.

Our cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with an loft style open floor plan. Beds consist of one king, one queen, and two single beds. There is a covered porch around the entire home, with hanging swings and rocking chairs for relaxation. The home includes a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, and gas grille on the back porch. We can accommodate sleeping arrangements for more than 6 occupants with cots for a small upcharge should it be requested.
