Beautiful location in the hills across the fjord from Akureyri only 3.5 miles or 6 km from the city center. Private location with great mountain- and fjord view. Sleep in a Mongolian Yurt and experience nature! We are a small family business and have only two yurts on the site (one in winter November-Mai), 100 meters apart so you have privacy and can enjoy being on your own on the mountain. My property is beautiful house in the country side with a great mountain view and as well a view over the ocean. This is a home stay, I live in the house with my husband. I am renting out four rooms. Location is very close to Akureyri (9 km) and good for a day trips f.x. to Mývatn, Dettifoss, and Húsavík. In the neigbourhood there is a golf-course, swimming pool, horse rental, hiking trails and vegan diner. You can have access to kitchen for light meals and heat something in the oven.

The room America is with a two twin beds, working table and reading lamps. The bed sheets are white and soft. The down pillows are good but if you need extra pillows we provide them down, polyester or Wellpur. The bathrooms are two, sheared for 6 rooms. One downstairs few steps away and the second one upstairs. The hot tub outside the kitchen is always open and 40 degrees Celsius. If you need something ask for it is our motto. We provide bath towels and robes for the hot tub.

Our house was built in 1933 and our guest area, situated on our ground floor, is sympathetic to this period. The Blue room has a large double bed (with option of a travel cot or extra bed) a hair dryer, and hot drink facilities. The bathroom has a shower, and is shared between our two guest rooms. A continental breakfast is provided, and breakfast for special diets can be arranged. We are LGBTQ+ friendly, and happy to take in weary campers in need of a warm and comfortable bed!

Beautiful home with great view

We invite you to our home in the countryside of North Iceland, 33 km from Akureyri. We live on a farm where Jón was born and his ancestors have lived for long time. Our house is located at the feet of mountain called Hólafjall and there are some hiking paths and from there the view is beautiful. There are beautiful places in the area and if you are looking for a nice quiet place in the countryside, you might like to stay with us.
