The casita is 11 miles north of Taos and west of Taos Ski Valley, 6 miles northwest of Arroyo Seco. It is surrounded by pinon, ponderosa & juniper 1.8 miles up a community dirt road in Valdez. AWD or 4WD is a must in winter. It is cozy and quiet and offers a great place for rest, adventure or creativity. Forest service roads and trails within walking distance. Since there are no city lights, the patio with chiminea offers the perfect spot for watching the night sky. Pet friendly fenced area

Enjoy the private patio off the bedroom or the lovely courtyard with calming fountain and many benches. Ideal for reading, thinking or meditation. Many guests have been "working from home with a different view"! One family dog (under 25#) is OK – and you must inquire in advance. This solid wood cabin is tucked away in a large valley with tons of privacy. It’s been recently renovated and upgraded. The cabin has rustic charm with all the updated amenities one could desire. Perfect for a family vacation or for wondering souls hoping to find a place to decompress from life. *Ojo caliente spa IS accepting walk in’s for soaking and I was told it’s rarely at capacity so if you are hoping to soak it’s almost assured to happen :)
