This is not often the kind of place to stay on Airbnb. A more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time journey to a 19th-century Ostrobothnian village. The destination is best suited for lovers of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who are not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

The rush gets lost in the bridge that crosses Kitise, as the village landscape opens up to the front. The fields with the rooftop grass booths make it feel like a pause. Koivula House is located in the historically valuable village of Suvanto, where the oldest buildings are from the end of the 19th century. The entire cottage and yard area is available for guests to use. There's room for a car in the yard, I recommend renting a car is only an hour away. The cottage is beautifully located by the river. The forest and nature are within walking distance, and there's a general campfire site nearby where you can go for a sausage and enjoy a campfire.In winter, you can look at the stars in the sky from the big windows of the cottage and look for the Northern Lights. The cottage has a sofa bed that is 120cm wide.

Cozy cottage in Siika-Kämä, nice village between Ranua Zoo (40 min) and Rovaniemi City (45 min) in the middle of amazing Lappish countryside in private and safe area. Owners live near to the cottage and are more than happy to help you to have a memorable stay! A beautiful lake (only 20m), where you can enjoy both winter and summer. Activities in accommodation: Ice-fishing, snow-shoeing, snowmobilerides or rent it! You need to have a car to get here, it takes 45 minutes from Rovaniemi city.

Heart of Lapland- Siikkis+wood heated sauna

A cute little cabin for two people in a magical forest, on a private plot by a beautiful lake near by host home. A sauna is heated for guests every evening. Cabin is ideal for guests who are looking for peace and quiet and distance from the hustle and bustle of the city and the light pollution, but are within driving distance of many of the places to visit. Cabin is located about 45 min drive from Rovaniemi. Many activities can be done around the cabin, either independently or with a host.

A cosy cottage in a beautiful area only a 30min drive from the city centre. You can set up a bonfire by the stream, listen to the magic sounds of the nature and watch the sky. This is one of the best places in town to see the Aurora Borealis.Now they are at their best and you can see them just looking out of the window inside the cottage!The cottage is right next to the river Ounasjoki.The cottage is only a short distance from the city center but you will be just like different world.

Completely unique property. Excellent location between two rivers in its own yard. Traditional old but clean house in Finland. Live like a museum, the furnishings are from the '50s and new. Shower and small sauna in the house. Fireplace and baking oven + air source heat pump. Downtown 4 km. Airport and Santa Claus Village 7 km. In the summer, use a private rowing boat on the beach.
