The property is located in scenic surroundings overlooking Glomma and the surrounding mountains. There's a light trail right above the house with nice hiking trails. It is about half an hour drive to the entrance gate of Rondane National Park and 5 min to the Atna River, which is known as a nice trout river. The municipality center is located on Koppang about 27 km away.
