Farmhouse ‣ Waterfalls, Hot Tub, River, Hiking, Fire Pit

An idyllic countryside farmhouse, nestled between two pristine rivers and over 1500 acres of national park. Built in 1850, and renovated in 2015, this farmhouse has the perfect blend of old-world charm and modern luxury, and is a designated historical landmark in New York state. Home features include wood burning hot tub, handmade furniture, French linen, oversized bathtub, original artworks throughout the home, shaded patio, fire pit, and so much more. The home is also a three-minute walk to hiking trails, the river, and waterfalls. The first floor of our farmhouse features: a hand-made Dutch door entrance, an oversized gas fireplace, local antique furniture from nearby towns, a bookshelf of artfully collects titles, a vinyl record player (and yes — an Alexa as well), a comfy sofa and a huge dinning room table that can fit up to 12 people. Outside the living room, we have a private reading room with high-end furniture and plenty of plants; which is a sun-drenched space for reading, relaxation or working. The kitchen is antique in all ways but one: all the appliances have been modernized, and we have every piece of equipment you’ll ever need. As you move upstairs, you’ll find a day bed and another desk for reading or writing. This splits off to the master bathroom which features a glass shower, two sinks, and the perhaps the largest bathtub you could imagine. The master bedroom has a king bed and various decorative antiques, as well as a view of the mountains outside. The second bedroom has a full bed and is filled with art and antiques. While the house is a real joy, it’s just a small part of the package. Take one step outside the door and miles upon miles of hiking trails and swimming spots are right there for you. Our whole home is open to you. However, we typically lock the laundry room; but are happy to open it for you at no extra cost. We’re always available to help you whether it be by phone, email, or in-person. The farmhouse is located in the Valley of Spas or Glen Spey, only 90 minutes from New York City. Natural beauty abounds right outside the house with numerous lakes, rivers, brooks, and waterfalls just a quick walk or drive away. The charming towns of the Catskills: Port Jervis, Narrowsburg, Barryville, and Livingston Manor are a scenic drive away. The farmhouse is about 80 miles from New York City, starting from the George Washington Bridge. It's an easy and scenic drive from the city. Getting here by train? The house is 12 minutes from the Port Jervis train station. You can take the New Jersey Transit from Penn Station to Port Jervis, which is also about 2-hour ride. This is one of the best places to hike in the area. You walk 100 yards here and you’ll find yourself on a private trial to a waterfall; walk the other way and you’ll find yourself on 4 mile hike along the Mongaup River. Head yet another way and go on a great hike through the ridge with great views of the mountains . That’s all walking distance! The farmhouse is on 120+ acres. It's located right next to a huge waterfall and a river. The waterfall is 1 minute walk and the river is a quick hike from the house. It's also close to all the best restaurants, farmers markets, trails and various lakes/rivers. The property also has various hiking trails available only to guests. Welcome to the Aletis house, a place for wanderers. Here you'll find gorgeous original details matched with modern comforts, eclectic taste, and a clean, inviting vibe. Two of the bedrooms have king beds, the third has a queen bed, and there's a day bed (with a good mattress!) in the sun room. All upstairs rooms are off the reading lounge featured in the photos. The living room/meditation room has a working fireplace, essential for warming the soul during the colder months. Find your favorite spot to create, read, and connect. Feel free to keep things in the fridge or cook yourself a meal. Sonos speakers are on both floors - just download their app and listen to music wirelessly. The only room off limits is my office on the first floor, in which I see clients on week days. My partner Danny and I live in the carriage house in the backyard. Dear returning guests: Yes, we've taken the adorable cats with us! (New guests, we used to live in the main house). We're typically around on weekends unless traveling and available for any of your questions/needs. I work out of the office off the front porch on week days. The house is on desirable Union Street in Downtown Hudson. Everything Warren Street has to offer is just around the corner. Restaurants and shops are all around the corner from the house. Very walkable. Amtrak train station is about 5-6 blocks from the house. Walkable depending on weather and luggage. There's Lyft and Uber in town. Free street parking is available on side opposite of house; restrictions apply Thursday evenings depending on the season, check signs. Free street parking available on other side streets, metered parking on others. Of course, check appropriate signs where apply. There's an Enterprise Car Rental on Fairview Ave which I believe do pickups and drop offs. Bike Rental available at Steiner's Sports on Warren St. Those of you for whom stairs are difficult, please note that bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. ** My current settings don't allow for bookings 6 months in advance; however, if you are planning a trip and would like to book then, please send me a message.

Charming Revitalized 1920s Country Style Home

Venture back in time in this tastefully appointed historical residence. First floor apartment is a quaint abode showcasing boutique furnishings and decor, contrasting textures and motifs, arched doorways, a covered front porch, and a walkout to the backyard. We are 20 minutes away from Legoland, also located near Wallkill, and an easy drive to Warwick and Patterson. Our home is eclectic and unique, placed in the historic district of pine bush. This home provides up to date appliances and cozy furnishings while still holding onto that good ol’ 1920’s feel. Plenty of room for dining in and an easy ride or walk to great food. This home is bright and cheery yet provides privacy and warmth. The entire first floor is your domain. With a private entrance and easy parking. The locked doors you will encounter is for your privacy. There are permanent renters above you, however they have their own entrance and are completely separate. Trust us you won’t need more space than what’s provided, very roomy with a closet in each room, as well as in the dining area. Up until your check in we are available to you through Airbnb with any questions or concerns you might have. After check in most vacationers prefer to hit the ground running and begin enjoying their stay, however for little bumps in the road a number will be provided in order to continue taking care of you. The property boasts easy access to hikes, Wallkill Farms, wineries, Legoland and is walking distance from multiple restaurants, antique shops, and more. We recommend renting a car. While this home is walking distance to restaurants and downtown pine bush the beautiful rural scenery means a little distance of 10-20 minutes of driving between wineries and hikes and other enjoyable activities. We want our guests to enjoy their time to the fullest, and know that we care about their stay. Which is why we like to make clear our home runs on city water. There is an initial aroma from the faucet, however it doesn’t last long and adjustments to that are in the process. We of course offer you filtered water for you and your family. This home is multiple stories which adds to its beautiful character. You and your family will be occupying the entire first floor. The upper level has permanent renters, however they have a separate entrance and are quiet, as well as accommodating.

Our artistic, spacious , comfortable home is set on 13 (fairytale-esque) private, forest acres. We are minutes away from hiking trails, swimming lakes, and the Hudson River where you can kayak. The house is located on 13 acres of land just minutes away from the vibrant shopping of downtown Cold Spring, NY. It is surrounded by lakes and hiking trails, including the Appalachian Trail. We are minutes away from the Cold Spring train station. From here, you can get to Manhattan in an hour and 10 minutes. Occasionally our two small hypoallergenic dogs are with us in the house — one toy poodle and one shih tzu. If you'd like to bring your dog(s), this is a pet friendly home!
