Join me for an unforgetable experience on quad in the beautiful AGAFAY DESERT outside of Marrakech. Your Taxi will meet you up at your accommodation in Marrakech OR in front of Restaurant KFC Medina, you will head to the Agafay desert where the departure base is located. After equipments, explanations and safety instructions, i will hand you the machines and go for a small initiation first to get use to your quad. Once everyone is ready you will start the tour by crossing the Agafay desert on your Quad. The first stop (5 min) is programmed in the middle of the arid dunes of the Agafay desert to enjoy an amazing landscaps of this Rocky desert and magnificant view on the Atlas Mountains on the horizon and take some great photos. You will continue your visit through Agafay Desert, it extends over several hundred of acres. This rocky desert, can be likened to a sand desert, with its white dunes stand and landscape that are similar to the Sahara dunes. Really close to Marrakech, this stony desert will surprise you and make you forget the intense atmosphere of Marrakech. Arrive to a local house where you will have a cup of Moroccan mint tea and meet locals. We will meet infront Ecolodge La palmeraie, and we will go to my house with your car or in walk at 5 minutes, we will cross my home village. I dont speak at all english, but my older daughter or my son or my sister in law will be here for helping and mae traduction if you just speak english. I will host you in my house, where we will get to know around marocan mint tea. Then we will begin cooking class in good spirits. I propose you to learn how to cook chicken tajine or meat or couscous. I try to cook maximum with fresh, local and seasonal products, so this give good tast at plates. Choose and clean all diferents vegetable, meat, spices and seasonings... Peel, cut and start cooking tajine. While the tajine simmers, we will prepare the dessert, marocan pancakes"baghrir". While watching the tajine and adding the last ingredients. We will accompany the meal of a Moroccan salad, and to finish the preparation I would make you discover the art of Moroccan tea by making you participate in its preparation. We will taste these differents dishes together, cooking in a good mood. Then I'll take you to the meeting point if you need. We will pick you up from your hotel early morning before the sun rises, between 4 am - 5 am depending on your location and sun rise timings. You'll board a hot air balloon all set for the tour. With a professional pilot maneuvering the hot air balloon, you get to fly over the vast desert of Agafay and watch the rising sun as well as the unique flora and fauna of the desert. We will meet meet you outside of the Argana cafe at 8:00 am or pick you up from your hotel/Riad . we will take a 3-hour journey to the beautiful city of Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. On the way you will be able to photograph goats climbing on Argan trees, you will visit of a local womens cooperative and learn how some fine cosmetic products are locally made out of the rich Argan oil. Once you arrive at the port city of Essaouira , you will explore the beautiful city and its beach at your leisure. You will have time to enjoy the charming sights of Essaouira, including its white-colored walls, the beautiful Moulay El Hassan square, the harbor with its fishing port and old Portuguese fortifications, the souks, and the beautiful small streets of the city's ancient Medina . Enjoy a lunch of seafood or vegetarian cooking in a local restaurant. You will depart Essaouira around 16:30, arriving back around 20:00 p.m in Marrakech. note 1: Essaouira is a laid-back and peacefull seaside town which you can explore at your own pace.
