Welcome to Haiku Garden Cottages. Our tranquil 2 acre property is a licensed BnB (Permit#BBPH 2017/0002 SUP2 2016/0011), and a wonderful spot for anyone wanting to experience the lush serenity of Maui's North Shore. Our property provides a unique opportunity in that it can be rented out in different configurations to easily accommodate anything from a romantic retreat to a larger family gathering. Our thoughtfully designed cottages were created to provide ultimate relaxation and connection with the surrounding nature. The cottages are private, bright, airy, and freshly remodeled, offering a perfect balance of modern amenities and tropical charm. Inside you'll find the open concept kitchen and living area complete with two sets of 8 foot sliding glass doors, that open to a 40 foot long deck, overlooking an acre of private, expansive lawn down to the distant ocean. Off the deck is a private outside shower. The kitchen comes fully equipped for cooking and includes a ceramic cooktop and convection oven. The kitchen table comfortably sits 4. There is also an outdoor table with seating for 6 on the deck outside. The cottages are well appointed with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Soft cotton linens, brand new memory foam mattresses, ceiling fans in every room, marble countertops and subway tile in the bath, and hardwood floors throughout. The bathroom includes shower and tub and plenty of bath and beach towels. Large interior closet includes washer and dryer for guest use. The cottages have fast wireless internet access along with Tv's that include built in streaming. We also provide a bluetooth compatible speaker for playing music. The house comes with beach towels, a beach umbrella, cooler, guidebooks, and plenty of aloha. PLEASE NOTE: Required HI State and transient tax of 14.42 % IS NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE. This cost will be collected at the time of check in through the Airbnb Resolution Center. The property has a wonderful selection of lychee, avocado, banana, papaya, passion fruit, mango, starfruit, orange, and guava trees. You are welcome to roam the property and help your self to fresh fruit when in season. Always available for help or recommendations on our favorite things to do on Maui. Haiku Garden Cottages is located in the North Shore community of Haiku – just past the town of Paia and the world famous surfing and windsurfing beach, Ho’okipa. The North Shore of Maui is a special place, with a strong sense of adventure, and an active local community that holds a great respect for the land. Many people fall in love with the North Shore’s vibrant culture, and visit regularly to unwind and take a much needed break. With an endless number of activities on the North Shore such as surfing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, biking, farming, yoga and arts, there is no shortage of ways to enjoy your vacation. If you're the type of traveler who likes to escape the crowds of tourists and live more like a local, than you will love our property. We recommend renting a car during your stay, The nearest bus stop is 1.8 miles down the road in Haiku Town. Haiku is a great base from which to explore the island: * We are only a 20-minute drive from the airport. * Hookipa Beach is 10 minutes drive from the house. * Paia, named the “Happiest Seaside Town" by Coastal Living magazine, is a 15-minute drive offering with great shopping, good food, and beautiful beaches. * The historic town of Makawao is a 10-minute drive away where you will find art galleries, clothing boutiques, great restaurants, cafes, yoga, and a multitude of healing arts. * Drive through Upcountry Maui, to the top of the Haleakala Crater in just 90 minutes for beautiful sunrise or sunset views. * The south side beaches of Makena, Wailea, and Kihei are a little over half an hour away. * The drive to Lahaina or further up the coast on the west side, takes 45-minutes to an hour, depending on road conditions. * Driving the Road to Hana is one of our favorite adventures and reaching the town of Hana itself will take about 2 hours depending on how many stops you make along the way. No partying, or loud music allowed. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am daily. This is a family neighborhood, 5 mph Speed limit on road and driveway to cottage at all times. Home is not wheelchair or handicap accessible. FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN: If your reservation includes children, we ask that you respect our home and space and cleanliness of the cottage. Please have children eat and drink in the dining area to avoid sticky fingers and spills throughout the home. At check-out we ask that you leave the cottage in the manner in which you received it. May not be suitable for infants or toddlers as the home is not baby proofed and does not come equipped with infant sleeping or eating accommodations other than what is noted in our listing. Haiku is a comfortable temperature year round. We do like to inform our guests that our cottage does not have a heater or air conditioner as it is rarely needed in our area of the island. However we can have a few unusually warm days and a few chilly nights a year. There are ceiling fans in each room and the cottage windows allow air to flow thru the cottage nicely. For chilly nights, extra blankets are provided in the cottage.

During the early evening, you can relish sushi during Happy Hour at Sansei within a few minutes of the house or enjoy the gorgeous sunsets at the beach.
