Apartment in Camden
Sip Tea at a Stylish Regency Apartment in Camden
Decompress after the buzz of Camden's markets, music venues, and pubs with a quiet morning drinking fine teas in the bright, open-plan living area of this flat. Enjoy luxuries like the memory foam bed with goose-down duvet and the Riva sound system. The building and architecture are a perfect example of 1820s elegance, but everything within has been renovated recently to take advantage of light, space and modern convenience. I live here half the year, so the bed is top quality -- king-size with a memory-foam mattress and goose-down duvet. The living-room has large windows, with a huge sofa and comfortable reading-chair, a 40-inch (101cm) internet-connected smart-TV, a Bose sound system and superfast 70MB/s wireless internet. It is open plan onto the kitchen, which has great facilities: dish-washer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso with Aeroccino, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, oven, induction hob/cooktop, extractor, iron and ironing-board. The bathroom has a big shower with 2 shower-heads. And I've ensured there's lots of storage -- there's a large bedside cupboard and double wardrobe for your use, as well as space in the kitchen cupboards. You'll have the place to yourself. Enjoy it. Keys: available Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm. Otherwise keys should be no problem if you give me a few days warning. Use the AirBnB app, or my cell/mobile number is in the apartment for emergencies. Located on a quiet Regency street, yet close to Regent's Park for walks, local shops, restaurants, and Camden Lock Market’s fresh food stalls. Walk to nearby rail and tube stations to explore the city or indulge in a trip to Paris from St Pancras. Mornington Crescent underground station is 2 minutes from the flat, and it's a 10-minute train ride from there to Oxford St, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and the South Bank. From the same place buses also take you direct to Oxford St, Regent St, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Tate Britain, Westminster Abbey, Bloomsbury, Notting Hill, Kensington, Baker St, the City and even Hampstead Heath. But when you can walk to so many amazing places -- Camden, Primrose Hill, Regents Park, Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury -- you might not use public transport as much as you'd expect. In fact, Google Maps will tell you it's just 31 minutes walk to Oxford Circus - the corner of Oxford St and Regent's St and the shopping heart of London. The only thing to note is that this is an old building - the floors creak, the walls wiggle and you don't get the sound-proofing you'd find in a modern building - so please be respectful and understanding of my neighbours.
