Luxury, epic ocean view condo that's a stone's throw from the San Clemente Pier. Completely remodeled with an organic modern feel. Bigger Fish features a 180 degree penthouse view from the kitchen, dining and living room. Relax on the large Lanai, entertain in the full chef's kitchen and fall fast asleep in cloud like beds. Amenities include central AC, DirectTV, gas BBQ, full washer/dryer and a two car garage with parking for up to 5 cars. All of this and it is located less than 200 steps from the beach. For larger parties or reunions book the entire building (Big Fish & Bigger Fish). "WOW, the pictures don't do it justice", is the comment we most often get when guests walk into Big & Bigger Fish. You aren't just close to the beach, you're AT the beach! 2 large glass bifold doors bring the deck, ocean breezes and California sunshine right into your kitchen, dining room & living room on the penthouse level. The lower level has a second living room with gorgeous ocean, sand and white water views. Skylights fill this condo with plenty of natural light, making for the perfect California vacation. The beds are comfy with cloud like comforters that keep you the perfect temperature while the sounds of the waves lull you to sleep. Cozy throw blankets & an infrared heater are available for cooler mornings or evenings on the deck. AC for those warmer days and nights. Our towels are soft and our linens are silky smooth. Check the surf while you take your morning shower. Hot outdoor shower to wash the beach off sandy bodies and feet. Parking is a breeze. We provide all you need for beach days. You'll never want to leave! Our warm outdoor shower will have you ready for some serious R & R after your day at the beach. We also have a foot washer near the front entrance, to keep sandy feet at bay. We like to welcome you into the property and walk you through the amenities. Please text or call prior to you arrival to let us know your eta so we can meet at the property. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns we want to make sure every minute of your stay is perfect! The condo is in the popular Pier Bowl, which includes the San Clemente Pier and Beach, Parque Del Mar Park, and walking and biking trails. Avenida Del Mar, filled with exceptional dining spots and unique shops, connects to downtown San Clemente. Take the 5 freeway and exit at El Camino Real or Palizada. Drive toward the ocean on Del Mar street to get a feel for the town and you'll head right for Bigger Fish. Public transportation is available with the San Clemente Shuttle, a service that picks up right across from the pier. CITY TAX FEE: The city of San Clemente charges a 10% tax for all short term rental bookings. This amount plus 10% tax fee on housekeeping will be requested through Airbnb after you book your reservation. We have electronic door and garage codes to make it easy for you to get in and out. There is also a separate beach storage closet for all of your beach needs with a separate code. We'll provide all of these for you prior to your arrival. Please text us with your arrival eta so we can meet & welcome you into the property. Check in is typically at 4:00. During peak & busy seasons, we enforce a strict check out time of 11:00am. This ensures that our cleaning crew has enough time to prepare for our next guests. We want everyone to walk into a sparkling clean vacation experience. Late guests result in additional cleaning fees. Check outs after 11:00am may be charged $100 per hour for each hour late.

Idyllic, Romantic Beachfront Apartment in Malibu

Fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves in this charming beachfront apartment. The light, airy home features open-plan living and a wall of windows to maximize the amazing views. Enjoy drinks on the deck and a sunset over the water—it's pure bliss. This beachfront apartment is right above the sand and surf. At night the sounds of the sea will lull you to sleep. During the day, you can watch the sea lions sunning on the rocks and dolphins and whales swimming by or go for a walk along the water's edge and dive in yourself. This is an amazing place to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset and relax! In the evening, the lights of the "Queen's Necklace" glimmer in the distance and the moonlight shines on the water. The living room is cozy with two loveseats to snuggle in and watch a movie on the 50" flat screen TV. Three large sliding glass doors open up if you want to let the ocean breezes blow through. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with an apartment size stove and oven, a microwave, a Keurig coffee maker and a French press, tea kettle, toaster and all the dishes and pots and pans you need. A round table with linens provides a beautiful spot for morning coffee. The bedroom has a queen bed with a new organic mattress and designer sheets, pillows and duvet. There is a large closet with room to store your clothes. Books line the bookshelves if you'd like something to read. Mostly, this is just a quiet, beautiful space to put your feet up and really relax while watching the endless panorama of the natural world outside. And....if you want to feel like a movie star, the apartment was recently used as a glamorous setting in an independent film due out soon!!! Two-person kayak (life jackets available) Boogie Boards and a surfboard Television with premium channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.) Wi-Fi Shared entry gate with one other unit. My husband and I live in a small cottage above the apartment but the only shared space is the entry door. We rarely even see our guests. However, I am always available to answer questions or concerns but almost no one has them! Situated directly above the sand and surf, the home is in a residential area along the Malibu coast, away from the tourist areas. Take in the stars at night while strolling along the beach, or eat at one of the nearby restaurants right on the water. There is bus service available just a minute from the apartment that will take you into Santa Monica or the center of Malibu, or farther north to some of Malibu's more remote beaches. Uber is readily available. At high tide, the ocean may come right up to the seawall limiting beach availability. This all depends on the moon, the tides and the amount of sand that we have. This can really vary from day to day and depending on the season. This winter, rough seas washed away our private stairs to the beach, so guests need to use the public access stairs just a few houses away and a very short walk.

Private Malibu Getaway with White Water Ocean Views

Fire up the barbecue on a spacious private deck as the sun sets over the Pacific. This intimate and modern guest suite offers spectacular panoramic ocean views. Jump into your own private plunge pool (6’x12’) to cool off, or take a short walk to the beach. This is the perfect spot to escape the crowds and relax in your own secret hideaway. Our place is a beautiful one bedroom multi-level modern apartment with amazing views and loud waves. It is perfect for 2 people but can accommodates up to maximum of 4 people: queen size bed in the bedroom, and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Bedroom, bathroom and a walk-in closet are located on the upper level of the apartment. Bathroom has a shower cabin. Washer and dryer are in the bedroom behind the curtain. Open plan living, dining and kitchen area are on the lower level of the apartment leading to the big outside deck with the small pool. Kitchen has all the amenities - refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove/oven with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. We provide light breakfast - coffee, tea, oatmeal. The pool is at the deck level, just right outside of the apartment main entry. The pool can be heated for an extra daily fee of $50.00 BBQ is available, if you wish to grill something. Our home is a non-smoking environment. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, either inside or outside. We politely ask to respect our guest policy and not to have more than 4 people in the apartment. Guests that don't follow our policy will be reported to Airbnb immediately. We are located right off PCH up the hill. You can access the apartment by going down the long set of stairs along the blue railing on the left side of the property. There is plenty of free street parking at the apartment. Always available in person, via phone or text, if you need anything. The guest suite sits in the lower level of the main house on a quiet street. It's within walking distance to Duke's, Old Malibu Courthouse, and La Costa Country Mart. The house is located in eastern Malibu. Why wait - come and experience the beautiful Malibu firsthand! Many people rent a car or use a car service like Uber or Lyft, but public transportation is also available. Metro line bus #534 (bus stop is 3 minute walk from the house) takes you to downtown Malibu and Santa Monica, and from there you can transfer to the Expo train line which takes you to downtown LA and elsewhere. There are also Big Blue Bus and Culver City Bus lines available in Santa Monica. It’s almost never winter in Malibu: sunny and warm, gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. Malibu always offers a great escape from a busy city to enjoy the ocean, beach and sun.
