Our space is great for travellers who enjoy wineries, cafes, beaches, walks, a boutique cinema, Matakana market on Saturdays, Morris and James pottery and the variety of places to visit and explore within easy distance. Nearby is the ferry for a day at Kawau Island. The downstairs studio is private but we are close by and pleased to help and chat if you choose. Warkworth has large grocery stores and shopping but we have an adequate shopping centre and local pub within walking distance.

Braemar Cottage is a fully self-contained spacious unit in the lovely Snells Beach. It has a gorgeous ocean view over Kawau Bay. Snells Beach is about an hour's north of Auckland and perfect for a quiet relaxed getaway. There are plenty of things to do nearby from visiting charming country cafes and wineries, or shopping at the local farmer's markets, or even taking a day trip to explore Kawau Island. If you want to explore or relax closer to the cottage, the beach is only 500m away.

We offer 4 bedrooms & 1.5 bathrooms, in scenic Algies Bay with a bush backdrop & cows in the field behind. 10 mins drive to Warkworth & several Regional Parks for excellent walks, swimming, snorkelling & surfing. It's peaceful & quiet (tuis, pukekos & kookaburras are the only noise) with a 2 min, 40 second, (yes we timed it!) walk to the beach. Just 1.5 hours from Auckland. No pets, smoking, parties or extra guests. Please bring your own beach towels. Sorry there is no barbecue.
