Breweries/Taprooms

One of the many brewerys in the North Austin taproom scene but also one of our personal favorites. This taproom has a very quaint vibe with all of their mainstay beers and fun seasonal/special release beers. Our favorites are the Naked Nun and the Mango Wit.

One of the five locations for this popular American brewery and located in the North Austin Taproom area about three miles from us is Oskar Blues. They are famous for Dales Pale Ale but we suggest the Death by Coconut if you are feeling adventurous. Large stage indoors with music most nights out of the week and a huge patio for loungin.

This funky and colorful hard cidery offers 12 ciders on draft & in cans plus guest wines & to go options. One of just a few local ciderys in Austin and conveniently located in the North Austin taproom scene about two miles away from us. We recommend the Common or the Tejano Dreams if you can handle the spice.

Food scene

One of several locations in the Austin Area and the best ramen that you will find in this city. If you are looking for a savory large meal, then this is the place. We enjoy the veggie and the Mi-so-hot. Be prepared to wait in line if going during peak hours. The wait is worth it.

We try to make a visit to Stiles any time we have family or friends in town that want to eat good Texas barbecue. I always go for the brisket and turkey but you can't go wrong at this local favorite.
