Shopping

The biggest and safestly famous Belgrade market, Kalenić, is located in the center of the smallest city municipality of Vračar. It is located on the corner of Njegoseva and Maksim Gorkog streets. It was built in 1926 on Kalenić guvna, one of the numerous endowments of the pre-war Belgrade richman and well-wisher Vlajko Kalenić. This is the most well-stocked and most popular market in the capital. Not only inhabitants of Vracar, but also those from other parts of the city are on it, and even those from Novi Beograd and Zemun on weekends. The stalls are the real agricultural producers, and Kalenić's market place is regularly transferred from knee to knee.
