The space
Springcourt 5 is a recently completed self-catering apartment in close proximity to Rockley Golf & Country Club and the popular Accra Beach. This nicely furnished tropically themed ground floor 1-bedroom apartment is ideally suited for a couple or single person but can sleep up to 4 people. The well-appointed European kitchen with breakfast bar is equipped with an electric oven, 4-zone ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, toaster, kettle, coffee-maker, coffee grinder, blender,and all other necessary accoutrements. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, night stands, 4 drawer dresser and roomy wardrobe. The living-room has a comfortable sleeper sofa and coffee table, TV, dvd player and stereo. The dining area as well as the large terrace is furnished to seat four. Both rooms have air-conditioning units and ceiling fans. Internet/WLAN is available. The property features a waterfall-fed communal pool and groomed tropical gardens. A perfect holiday place.

Rockley is a quiet residential middle class Bajan neighbourhood. I love going for walks in the early mornings or before the sun is setting and being greeted by the friendly locals and fellow walkers. In the neighboring property there is a large tree that a family of monkeys call home, so almost daily there green monkeys to be seen around Springcourt.

I am originally from Chicago, have lived in Europe since 2000 and currently live and work in Hamburg, Germany in a Senior Finance Management role. The first time I visited Barbados was in 2003 and immediately fell in love with the Island and have been returning ever year since then. In 2009, I purchased this one bedroom apartment, and eventually hope to retire there. (I have about 20 years to go!) I am happy to rent out my home away from home to others that enjoy a relaxing time, enjoying being on or near the water often, love to travel, and if you enjoy cooking as I do, the kitchen is very well equiped. For those first time visitors , I am happy to offer tips of places to see and things to do while there.
