Where you’ll be

London, United Kingdom

A leafy affluent area of East Sheen London. We are two mins from Mortlake Station a direct S. W. Train 20 mins to Waterloo or stations connecting with the underground. There are numerous buses going to Hammersmith , Putney,Richmond and central London.
The area is served by two night buses that stop nearby.
Within a short walk of my flat there is Richmond park, an ancient hunting ground of kings that still have deer from the blood line of the original deer of Charles 11. The Royal ballet school is on the hill straight ahead from the gates . There are two beautiful lakes fir picnicking and bird watching .Walk to Richmond Hill and from here you can see all the way into the city of London to the north and the view painted of the Thames by Turner to the south . There is usually Cricket on Sheen Common at the weekends in the summer and plenty of opportunity to keep fit running and walking in the parks and by the river.

There are many old pubs in the area and a ton of shops and supermarkets on the high street.

A cycle/walk along the Thames is also not to be missed. It's where the Oxford & Cambridge boat race finishes. There is a boathouse nearby where you can rent kayaks and some great pubs by the waters edge.

You could cycle in to London along the river from here, avoiding congested roads. It takes about 40 minutes on hire bikes you can easily reach Chelsea and Kensington on in bikes but please wear a helmet . There are adjustable helmets on the shelf above the door available to borrow for your safety. If u ride on the roads stay away from lorries and be aware of traffic turning left in front of you !
Richmond town is 5 mins by train. Windsor and Eaton are on the same line.
