Ku Mo is in Love Dale, The Nilgiris, Tamil N, India. Set on an escarpment, 7500 feet high with spectacular views of the Ketti Valley, it has 4 rooms, each priced at INR 6000 per night and can be booked separately or as a lot. The property has been landscaped with purpose designed walkaways and set amidst tea bushes, mature trees, flower beds and manicured lawns: Ku Mo is to be experienced. This neck in the woods is for those wanting an alternate experience: Far from the madding crowd. Solitude.

The space
Ku Mo in Japanese means a haven in the clouds. The Sun rise and Sun sets are spectacular and the walkaways laid through out the property are ideal to enjoy nature at its best, the sudden changes in weather conditions adding to the drama unfolding all around you. At night the experience is totally different and these pathways can be accessed as it is well lit for a leisurely walk even on a dark moon night unless the Gaur-the native Bisons of Nilgiris- interrupts your walk. Unlikely this can happen as Ku Mo is well fenced around but should such an encounter take place it is best to retrace your steps-walk away gingerly and slowly.

Ku Mo aims at delivering solitude. Nature is best savored that way.

Where you’ll be

Ooty, Tamil Nadu, India

The property overlooks the Ketti Valley and this area is known for sudden switches in weather. From strong gutsy winds to an unexpected calmness where you can hear a pin drop. Mists come and go, whispering rains to torrents of water hurtling down from the sky, bright sunshine one minute and dark clouds the next instant. Nature at its bountiful best.
