Edw cottage used to be the old stable section of our Welsh longhouse, the oldest part of which dates back to the 16th century. It is set in an idyllic, rural location. A perfect place to escape to! A tranquil getaway for families and couples, Edw Cottage would appeal to those seeking a relaxing break in this stunning part of Wales.

The space
Light cosy cottage with breathtaking scenery which is the old stable section of our Welsh longhouse. It has an open plan kitchen and living room downstairs and 1 double plus 1 twin room upstairs. It is fully furnished. More outside space than you could wish for!

Perfect for walking, cycling and exploring the hills and the valley. Also you must visit the local market towns, such as Hay-on-Wye, known as the town of books, with its delightful shops, cafes, many art galleries, traditional pubs and eateries, plus of course the excellent summer festival. It's a lovely drive over the hill with some stunning views along the way. Hay-on-Wye has many attractions, including the wonderful 17th century Hay Castle, originally part of the Norman invasion of Wales, and a great stretch of the river Wye for kayaking.
There are some cute country pubs nestled in local villages. The Hay Bluff, Brecon Beacons National Park, Cambrian mountains and Elan Valley are also worth visiting.

The property is separate from ours, but we are there if needed. You can interact as much or as little as you like! We also have a lovely neighbour who lives in the other cottage and is on hand to help if we are away.
