Miranda do Douro Municipality, Bragança District, Portugal

It is located in a peaceful village that has highway access to bigger cities.
It has some traditional stores that sell genuine local products -bread, olive oil, honey, charcuterie - as well as daily life products.

It is perfect for biking, walking tours, enjoying the amazing views or just sniffing around the other villages. There are also small scale producers in nearby villages worth the visit. Moreover, it is close enough to make a stop by in some Spanish cities, such as Zamora and Salamanca.

Cheers everyone! :)

I am a cinema afficionado, postcard collector, dance maniac and can't-live-without-chocolate young lady from Porto, Portugal :) I am passionate about cinema, history, cultural differences and food, and I am always fond of a good discussion that makes me change my perspective on things.

For me, home is where the heart is so travelling is all about the people we meet, the places we discover, the little secrets we can uncover everywhere. Therefore, no travelling experience is a waste of time but rather an opportunity to learn. I remember some crazy nights in Budapest and a lot of bargaining in Marrakech's souk, but my favourite destination was both Chile and Thailand, for their joyful simplicity and lively culture. At the moment I am saving for Australia :)
