Where you’ll be

Salem, New Hampshire, United States

For the shopper, Salem, New Hampshire is a paradise since New Hampshire has no sales tax. A major Mall (Mall at Rockingham) along with many smaller clustered malls and shopping areas provide any item you can imagine to purchase. Chain restaurants and local small business restaurants are available for a variety of budgets.
There is a rail trail ideal for biking, running, walking and snowshoeing after a snowstorm which runs south to Methuen and north to Londonderry (perhaps 25 miles length?) which is easily accessible from the house (1 mile).
Salem is not a good choice for those looking for nighttime hotspots!

In the USA I teach for a small college in Boston and enjoy watching my grandchildren grow. In New Hampshire where I live in the States my favorite activities are skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, canoeing and bicycling. For 2 to 3 months each year I live in Taormina, Italy where I love to swim, read, walk and eat the delicious Sicilian food. I also expecially enjoy concerts, plays and other cultural activities at the Greek Theater in the Center of Taormina.

During your stay

I teach in Boston two days a week and watch my grandchildren three days a week. On the days I teach I leave very early and return late. On the days I watch my grandchildren I am home most if not all of the day. I love to welcome international guests; I work in Italy part of the year.

Since I work internationally the WiFi is strong.
