Ideal for visitors to the city or for anyone on course at Tunney's Pasture or Civic Hospital, both within walking distance. Close to downtown and near the O train. Easy access to Dows Lake, Experimental Farm, Bluesfest venue, NCC Parkway, Canadian Museum of History, the Canadian War Museum and shops and restaurants in Westboro and on Wellington street.

Wellington West is an artsy, historic neighbourhood in the heart of Ottawa. The neighbourhood is home to a huge number of acclaimed restaurants (over 88 according to Urban Spoon) including Supply and Demand, voted Canada's 4th best restaurant by enRoute magazine last year and Soca Kitchen and Pub, great article in Porter Airlines magazine recently.

This fun neighbourhood is changing and growing up, so you'll find traditional diners and an "old school" bowling lane cozying up to several gourmet restaurants, a microbrewery, SuzyQ gourmet donuts...(heaven sent!) independent cafes, bars and local designers' shops. You can stroll through Wellington West or Hintonburg on your way to Westboro, Little Italy, Chinatown, or down to the scenic Ottawa Parkway and Ottawa river bike/walking path.
It is a 10-minute cab ride to Parliament Hill, the Byward Market and all the downtown attractions. Herb and Spice, a natural food store/grocery, is a five minute walk and Metro grocery store is less than 10 minutes.

The Parkdale Market (open early spring to late fall) is just 3 blocks away and features fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers. Open 6am-6pm, 7 days a week.

Ottawa Farmers Market, also known as the Westboro Farmers Market (Open Saturdays, 9:30am-3:00pm) Located in the Byron Tramway or Linear Park bordered by Golden, Bryon, Richmond and Broadview Avenues. On offer... baked goods, meats, veggies, fruits and crafts all kinds, May to October.

I have travelled extensively and have lived in several different countries. I love meeting new people and sharing their cultures. I favour a couple of places and return every occasion I can: France, Ireland and Mexico.

I can't live without my husband, my kids friends, knitting, warm weather!!

I have been a guest several times with Airbnb but have only just started hosting. I look forward to seeing how this works on the other side. I know what I liked and disliked in the places I have stayed and so I hope to make our place as comfortable as possible for our guests. I welcome feedback on how we can improve.
