The space
Your space is a comfortable 375 sq. ft. studio loft on the second floor of an adult building (children welcome but guests must realize it's a quiet adult-oriented building). It consists of a well equipped full kitchen, small dining area overlooking the river and the historic Old Town Hall as well as comfortable sitting area with latched windows opening onto a small Juliette balcony for wonderful summer breezes and the sound of the upper falls in the background. The sleeping area contains a comfortable queen size bed with blackout blinds, full sized dresser and two night stands. A wall mount television can be positioned for viewing in bed or tilted to view from the sitting area. I am 54 year old female artist who loves to travel, enjoys new experiences, other people, and art in any form. I don't like big cold hotels I prefer cozy comfortable and clean accommodations with cooking facilities.

My husband and I have had some wonderful airbnb experiences and so decided to host ourselves! So based on our own taste and values we now not only look for clean comfortable funky accommodations in interesting places but strive to offer the same with attention to enriching spaces, personal comfort, local information and access to cultural experiences in our town.

We love music of all kinds, art galleries, good healthy and tasteful food experiences, cultural festivals, nature, hiking and cycling. Fortunately we live in a fabulous small Canadian town close to Ottawa our nations capitol which is rich in all that we love and we are able to offer the same to our guests.

As an artist and designer I feel blessed. There's no better way to wake then to open your eyes and be eager to dive into a day of work where creative opportunities abound and possibilities are endless. I live and work from a serene setting on the Indian River in Clayton, Mississippi Mills, Ontario, Canada as well as from a small studio adjacent to our airbnb location in Almonte, Mississippi Mills.

Whether meeting with new people through airbnb, connecting with friends over a locally brewed coffee, a day of mental challenges solving puzzles in printed circuit board design or a day of stimulating creativity hands immersed in clay, or perhaps forming silver, I am never bored. I love the variety.
