Welcome to Old Soul Camp. This is Fern. She is a charming, retro camper that makes the perfect getaway to refresh your old soul. Fully furnished with tropical eclectic, vintage modern comfort, so all you have to do is show up to fill your cup. She also includes access to our kayaks, fishing poles and a paddleboat. Fern is nestled underneath mature trees and string lights, and just steps away from the quiet and beautiful Fox Lake at Caven’s Landing Campground and all the wildlife that lives here!
The space
Fern offers a comfy, queen memory foam mattress in her perfectly tiny bedroom with a sliding door. The Scandinavian style duvet with heavenly sheets is topped with no shortage of bed pillows ready for your weary heads after a good day under the sun on the lake this charming camper sits just steps away from....Fox Lake in rural Southwest Minnesota.
Wait?... Were you just about to ask about the fishing here and if you could bring a boat? ....oh yeah, I'm getting there... but first...
THE REST OF THE SPACE:
The table with 3 chairs makes a perfect spot for old fashioned style games, art, writing, reading, coloring, dining and of course, working on a laptop, because who wouldn't want a corner office with a view?!
The tiny (but efficient!) bathroom is sufficient for your bathing and p**ping needs in the great outdoors! Oh, and it's cute.
We stock Fern's bathroom with the following:

+Complimentary tin of 8-10 "one use" locally made bar soaps from

+At minimum 3 rolls of toilet paper (also depending on length of stay).
The kitchen has a refrigerator and small freezer, along with a propane gas stove with 4 small burners, and a small oven that fits a good 'ol frozen pizza perfectly : ) But why bother with that when there is a microwave, or a campfire, or a charcoal grill to pick from as well! A toaster, dishes like plates and a couple bowls, cups, eating utensils and basic kitchen utensils, along with a couple small serving trays are included. A small and medium sized sauce pan and small baking sheet too. We also have a Keurig Slim coffee maker. There are a few individually packaged, one use condiments available, such as peanut butter packets, jelly packets, butter pads, sugar and sugar sub packets, coffee non dairy creamer cups. We also stock cooking oil.
**psst...we'll even prestock the fridge and pantry for you before you arrive if you'd like because we take our jobs as an old-soul-kinda host very seriously.

The futon works as both a gathering conversational couch or restful sleep for one.

*The well water system is an interesting one as we are so incredibly close to the lake. Feel free to bring plenty of drinking water, especially if it's hot.
+At minimum 2 additional blankets beyond what's on the bed (depending on guest count and season) and the beds are well stocked with sleeping pillows for sharing (2 standard size sleeping pillows, 2 king size sleeping pillows). There are many decorative pillows as well, feel free to shove them in the bedroom closets if there are too many for you.

+Did we mention AC and Heat? Yeah, Fern has air conditioning (electric) and heat (propane), and she keeps up pretty well considering the summer heat she's at battle with sitting on this lake all summer!
