We offer you hotel style service with self-catering facilities along with free airport transfers and local transportation. We’re certified by the Greek National Tourist Organisation who periodically check that we deliver their 3-KEY standards. We thoroughly clean your studio every day and we regularly change towels and bed linen. Our home is 200 metres from the beach and the nearest restaurants, 15 minutes walk from the town centre, and just over an hour by bus & metro from Athens city centre.

The space
We offer 3 self-contained, fully equipped, self-catering studios, each with its own private veranda in our beautiful garden. Occasionally we can also offer a 4th studio meaning we can accommodate up to 11 people. With local help we designed and built Villa Verde to very high environmental standards in 2008-09. Geothermal energy provides most of our heating and cooling needs. Large solar panels provide hot water for personal use. Water from a well is used for our well-stocked garden, a very special feature of our villa. We're at the end of a very small road that leads nowhere. There's no traffic and there is plenty of safe car parking space immediately outside our villa.
In 9 years our guests have consistently posted excellent reviews of their stays with us. We have received awards for exceptional customer service from Booking_com, TripAdvisor, and Travel & Hospitality Awards of the UK.
We're just a few kilometres away from Marathon with its small but excellent archaeological museum and the Tomb of the Athenians from the 490 BC battle, Guests with cars can also visit Marathon Lake and the Ramnous archaeological site. The wetlands of the Schinias National Park have an amazing range of bird life through the winter. We will happily take guests without a car on a local tour.

We call Nea Makri "Athens with a breath of fresh air". It's very easy to reach the city centre using public transport but here the air is fresh, the area is very green, and the sea is very clean. There's a lively commercial centre so you'll find just about everything you need right here in town.

Silvia is originally from the Ukraine and Chris from England. We came to Greece for work and business reasons in 1996. When we decided to stop work we moved a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of the Athens metropolis. We have travelled very extensively around Greece, both mainland and islands, so we can use our first hand experiences to help you make the most of your time in our beautiful adopted country. You will find a very detailed guest information folder in your studio and we are very happy to expand on any of the subjects that are included. We're both very good with the local language and we're always available at the end of a phone to help our guests with any communication difficulties. We're also always ready to help you with your shopping and with any trips that you would like to make. In summary, we aim to ensure that all of our guests leave with their initial expectations exceeded.
