3-bedroom cottage sits on "Bolus Head" in Ballinskelligs. An iconic mountain steeped in Irish history. A 10 -minute walk from the house to the top of the hillside offers an incredible views, tranquility and lots of fresh air!
The view from the mountain takes in the Skellig Islands and St. Finian's Bay.

Perfect for those in search of adventure, a peaceful get away, relax with a good book, and enjoy the incredible surroundings.

In line with Covid-19 and government guidelines, we are maintaining social distancing, cleaning and sanitizing is done to a very high standard.

The house is 25 mins from Caherciveen, 20 mins from Waterville and 10 minutes from Ballinskelligs blue flag beach.

Bolus is ideal for a peaceful, recharge the battery’s break away. Or if you’d like to be on the go, there are day trips to the Skellig Rock but booking is essential. Golf courses 20 mins away. A chocolate factory in St. Finans Bay 20 mins drive away, or walk over the mountain top and the factory isn’t far from that side. This is a walker's and hiker's paradise, with the famous "Bolus Loop Walk" trail just 5 mins away. (Voted best walking trail on the Wild Atlantic Way)
Take a drive on the Skellig Ring, voted on Lonely Planet one of the top 10 drives in the world. Spectacular views that really will take your breath away. You can watch the sunrise and sunsets in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Bolus Head is also a dark sky reserve, the only Gold Tier reserve in the northern hemisphere and 1 of only 3 in the world.

There is a beach side cafe and a bar called Tig Rosie which is 15 minutes drive away.

Ballinskelligs beach is a blue flag beach. Perfect for swimming, walking and for having a picnic!!

Ballinskelligs is a Gaelteacht where the older generation still speak Irish.

There are many sacred site, wells, standing stones.

Ballinskelligs is full of heritage, simplicity, your guaranteed a warm welcome.

County Kerry, Ireland

Your neighbours will be sheep and perhaps a farmer or two depending on the time of year. This property is incredibly secluded and wild, and will allow you to totally re-connect with nature away from the distractions of modern society. However the nearby towns of Ballinskelligs, Caherciveen and Valentia offer plenty of amazing café's, restaurants and of course pubs so you there's something to suit every mood.
