This original stone camp cabin, renovated for you, is located at Camp Miramichee Falls on a wooded hillside and is a short walk to the river. It is conveniently located just two miles from downtown Hardy and Cherokee Village.

The space
This historic stone cabin is one of several that we own on a wooded hillside above the Southfork River. Your cabin has a separate bathhouse next to it for your use. The bathhouse has 2 sides with separate locked doors. One side is for your exclusive use. It has a shower, toilet and sink. The cabin next to you uses the other side of the bathhouse and a third cabin is privately occupied with its own facilities.
This is upscale camping. Enjoy the comforts of air conditioning and a real bed after a day on the river. There is a smart TV with Wifi and a Roku. You will have access to a grill and outdoor picnic area, but there is no kitchen in your cabin. You will have a microwave, a coffee maker and a mini-refrigerator. We have a minimal amount of dishes for your use, but no pots or pans. The cabin is up a gravel/dirt road and there is parking for one vehicle close to the cabin. If you need additional parking, let us know and we can show you where you can park and walk to the cabin.

History of Camp Miramichee
Camp Miramichee was founded in 1916 as a retreat for girls. It maintained its role as a haven for girls and their families through World War II, but in the 1940s also began to offer a program for younger girls. By the 1950s Camp Miramichee was wholly devoted to providing leadership and athletic opportunities for girls 10 through 18, with canoeing, swimming, crafts, archery and other activities, as well the chance to flirt with the Boy Scouts. In 1989 skyrocketing liability insurance rates forced the camp to close. However, in 2005 former campers began to reconnect and have held annual summer reunions in Hardy every year since, complete with white-water canoe trips and Indian dances.
In 2019, we purchased five of the original Miramichee stone cabins which are currently being renovated.

I grew up going to summer camp in Hardy, Ark. I learned to swim and canoe in the river and made life-long friendships there. I have pursued the mountains, deserts, and all types of water over the years. Yet, as an adult, this area called me back. Now I have the chance to share it all and nothing makes me happier. Reconnect with nature and the personal touches of this small town.
