Two houses in one! Spinners Well is a rural, 4 bedroom thatched house, partly dating back over 300 years. With historic period features mixed with open plan modern living and generous, sunny gardens and off street parking. On the outskirts of Kington Langley - 2 miles from M4 junc 17, it is well located as a base to explore the beautiful County of Wiltshire, the Cotswolds, as well as the City of Bath.
Lots of walks from doorstep - with pubs and shops within easy car access. Dogs welcome too.

The space
Spinners Well is made up of two, connected holiday cottages - Spinners House and Spinners Cottage (each can also be rented separately) - all recently renovated. A lovely, romantic thatched cottage dating back to the 1600's with plenty of history and packed full of features and character - combined with a bright, open plan modern extension. There are 7 beds spread over 4 bedrooms, as well as 3 bathrooms.
There is a gravel drive, through double gates off a single track lane. Perfect for gatherings of friends and family and with 2 kitchens and sitting rooms, you will have plenty of space to relax and enjoy yourselves!
You enter the double patio doors straight into the main bright, open plan sitting/kitchen/dining area with direct access to the garden. There is a large dining table and fridge/freezer with cold water dispenser. To ensure you are lovely and snug on those colder nights, there is also a remote control wood effect gas fire as well as a 50" Smart HD TV. There is a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine.
On this level are two bedrooms - one is a smaller double with either king sized bed or two singles, the other is a bunk room with two single beds. Also on this floor is the family shower room.
Upstairs, is the super generous master suite - with dressing area and ensuite bathroom with bath and king size bed.
Along the corridor and into the 300year old thatched cottage - with wooden beams and packed full of historic character. There is a second galley kitchen in this part of the property, cosy sitting room and large original fireplace with another wood effect gas fire. Upstairs, is a king sized bedroom and third bathroom - with shower.
There is a single sofa bed in the dining area of the cottage. Please let me know in advance if you would like this bed set up.
Linen and towels are provided - as well as basics such as soap, tea, coffee and sugar.
Fast broadband, dishwasher and washing machine also provided.
The garden is a really good size, private and enclosed and has garden furniture, loungers as well as charcoal and gas BBQs (please bring your own charcoal).
Please note that the dining table is meant for 8 so it is a bit of a squeeze for 9 adults - especially with high chair! There are 9 dining chairs.

Where you’ll be

Kington Langley, England, United Kingdom

Kington Langley is a pretty village with primary school. Spinners Well is located on a short private lane (Sutton Road) just off the B4069 on the outskirts of the village - with its easy access to the M4, Chippenham and the lovely villages of Lacock and Castle Combe.
We don't have a pub or shop in the village but there are good pubs a short drive (or 20-40 minutes walk across fields) away. There is also a 24 hour shop close by , as well as large supermarkets and Allington Farmshop with deli, butchers and cafe within easy reach. The cafe at Allington is busy but worth the wait! There is lots of information about places to eat, shop and walk.
Our local pubs such as the Langley Tap are popular so we do recommend booking in advance.
There are footpaths which run directly from the cottage, so walking is easy if you want to leave the car behind. You can walk to the Wellesley Arms pub in Sutton Benger, along the easy footpath so a great option for lunch (around 25min each way)
If you are attending a wedding or event at Kin House, we are just a few minutes away - there is an easy footpath that takes around 10 minutes but you would need a change of shoes as it can get muddy! (the main road to Kin House is not recommended for walking)
