Indu and her husband Dr. Sumer Singh are retired teachers who settled at their ancestral property in Punjab after their retirement in the beginning of 2019. Their heritage Fort was in ruins when they moved there. It took them three years to renovate their heritage home and start agriculture, horticulture and forestry in their 25 acre farm and orchards. The idea for the Farm Stay came about gradually when some friends came visiting and fell in love with the place and the hospitality they received. Dr. Sumer is a charming and easy going person, full of stories about the history of the Lalpur Fort, who enjoys being a farmer. He is also an artist, writer and a keen angler. Indu is a hard working homemaker who loves to cook and enjoys making jams and pickles with the fresh produce from the farm. They are charming & caring hosts and enjoy interacting with people who come to stay at House of Lalpur.
