Welcome to Prairie Island Bungalow (PIB)! Located on Prairie Island in Winona, this home provides the perfect, quiet getaway for work or play, and is your gateway to outdoor adventure in the Winona area. River access is available on our private dock next door! With thoughtful amenities including a fully-stocked kitchen (with coffee and tea!), plush linens, Smart TVs, games and books, a fire pit, snowshoes, and kayak and canoe rentals; we invite you to simply show up and enjoy your stay at PIB!

The space
The hosts live just next-door and offer free use of their private river access for docking fishing/pleasure boats or launching personal kayaks, canoes, or stand-up paddle boards. Overnight dock slipping with electrical hookup is available for one boat for a small fee. There is a free, public boat launch only a 30 second boat ride away from our dock. Kayaks and canoe rentals are available for guests to explore the beautiful surrounding area.

PLEASE NOTE: Private dock access is only available during open water season (Late March to late November). PIB is not located directly on the water. It is about 300 feet from the river behind the host’s house.

Kitchen/ Dining:
Cook your own meal in the kitchen, fully-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, bakeware, and oils and spices to get you started! Coffee and tea are also provided. There is a gas grill on the patio perfect for summer cookouts! The kitchen opens up to a spacious dining area that comfortably seats up to 8 guests.

Bedrooms:
In the spacious master bedroom you'll find a Smart TV to log in to personal streaming services, quaint seating, and a cozy queen-size bed to ensure a good night's sleep. In the charming ensuite bathroom you will find plush linens, toiletries, and a rainfall shower-head for a relaxing stay.
The second bedroom boasts a queen-over-queen bunk bed and a walk in closet for clothing and luggage storage.
A twin daybed in the living area provides additional sleeping space.

Bathrooms:
Enjoy a luxurious soak in the clawfoot tub! Bath salts, toiletries, and plush linens are provided for a relaxing stay. The tub has also been outfitted with a shower.
The master bedroom has a private ensuite bathroom with a rainfall shower, toiletries, and plush linens.

Washer/Dryer
There is a stacked washer/dryer in the master ensuite available for guests. Detergent, dryer sheets, an iron, and ironing board are provided.

Outdoors:
Just steps outside the front door you will find a private, lighted patio with outdoor dining and seating. Relax by the fire or enjoy a game of bean bags or other yard games! The propane grill is perfect for outdoor cook-outs!
