The space
The building was originally an industrial building in 1948. It was fully renovated into an apartment building in 2015.

The apartment is one big unified space. The bedroom can be separated with velvet curtains. Old concrete structures are visible on the roof and walls.

The apartment has an oak parquet floor so it is best to take the shoes off when inside. The kitchen is a Finnish Saari kitchen with Miele appliances.

This is my home and it has a bit of art on the walls. I also have a weakness for designer lamps.

Where you’ll be

Helsingfors, Finland

Lauttasaari is close to the city centre but at the same time it is almost like a small village. Underground and bus take you to the centre fast and easy and in good weather walking, bicycling or scooting are also good options. Keilaniemi business district and Aalto University campus in Otaniemi are a few underground stops away so fast and easy eaccess. The island has beautiful walking routes by the sea.

Hi, I am Sari, born and raised in Helsinki although have had a view of the world (including a couple of Airbnb places). I host Yellow Tower and Art Loft through my company but this really is just a one woman enterprise. I have registered as an official service provider so some bureaucracy is needed such as the ”wonderful” passenger card requirement.

Am a human and as such prone to error , so nothing is ever perfect but I aim to be trustworthy and responsive. Guests are delightful and hosting continues to be a rewarding job.
