The home is very comfy and great for a long term stay as we have a washer and dryer available. There is a basement with access from the interior for safety during storms if needed. The patio is very secluded and great for a outdoor dining.

Comfortable for four guests but can accommodate up to 6 guests.

Nestled harmoniously with the many oaks and other trees The Lark Inn at Fox Hollow is a perfect guest house to get away from it all in the picturesque Flint Hills of Kansas. Located in Cottonwood Falls, is the perfect central location to visit the many wonders of the Flint Hills.

This 1 bedroom 1 bath refurbished 1920’s bungalow style house sleeps 6 and is fully furnished and equipped to ensure that you have everything you need for your Flint Hills getaway. Relax and sleep in and enjoy your breakfast at the harvest table in the country kitchen or on the oversized patio under the massive oak trees while enjoying the birds’ serenade.

You can easily walk to the recently refurbished Chase County Courthouse built in 1870 or any other business or restaurants on the brick-paved Broadway Street just a block away!

Guests can enjoy the house and the lighted patio and outdoor patio with furniture and table and glider.
The garage houses a work-shop for repairs and machinery and guests won't find an unlocked access to this building.
They are welcome to park in the covered parking area.

We are there to greet the guests and welcome them to The Flint Hills. We can show them the amenities (Coffee, extra towels etc.) and if there are any problems we are available by phone.

This home is at the end of the block with loads of privacy and connected by a yard of our Lark Inn on Main. It is ideal to rent both properties for family reunions, weddings etc.
Walking distance to downtown to several restaurants and shops and historic Courthouse.

The long driveway loops around and drops you off on Main Street. We have covered parking for your car.
The closest international airport is in Wichita, KS

The proprietors of The Lark Inn Guest Houses are Kris and Pat Larkin. Originally, Okies from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kris and Pat moved to the Flint Hills after living in southern California for over 20 years.

While in California Kris and Pat discovered and developed their gifts of hospitality; preparing and serving meals for literally hundreds of people for numerous events. They also hosted so many groups at their home over the years that people modified their last name of “Larkin” and began to refer to their home as “The Lark Inn” . . . thus the name was born.

After selling their property management business in California, they set out on what they termed their “Second Half Discovery Tour” (see their blog: (Website hidden by Airbnb) The purpose of the tour was to travel and experience various parts of the US and discover what they were to do and where they were going to spend the second half of their lives.

Having been blessed with a successful first half of their lives, now the goal is to do something significant in their second halves . . . from success to significance. Anyway, with a little help from their friends, they discovered the miracle of The Flint Hills of Kansas and moved there!

It didn’t take long for Kris and Pat to learn that lodging in The Flint Hills was not plentiful and so they bought their first guest house in Cottonwood Falls. It stayed consistently rented on a nightly basis all of the summer of 2010. Later in 2010, they found another property with guesthouse and cooking class potential and in January of 2011, they purchased The Lark Inn on Main, also in Cottonwood Falls.

Unlike the their first guest house, The Lark Inn on Main required a full renovation so they spent the first half of 2011 renovating The Lark Inn on Main for it's opening in June of 2011.

Providentially, the recently renovated property immediately to the north of the Lark Inn on Main was offered to Kris and Pat to purchase. The sale was completed in late May 2011 creating The Lark Inn at Fox Hollow which began receiving guests immediately.

In October of 2012 a third guesthouse was purchased; The Lark Inn on Elm. The revitalization activities started right away. Completed in May of 2013, guests began enjoying this 2 bedroom, 1 bath guesthouse in June.
