Nestled on 14 acres, our Barndominium is the perfect location for a getaway. The Barn sits off a dirt road and is still conveniently close to Route 50 with easy access to Salisbury and the beaches. 10 of our 14 acres is protected forest. Behind the barn, there is a trail that leads to our quaint pond. Our mantra at the Barn is to do as you please, but have respect for the barn, land, and all animal visitors- especially our 4 resident kitties! Check out our guidebook for local recommendations!

The space
Rob designed and built our barn with the help of his uncle, a retired coal miner from Pennsylvania. Downstairs is a garage, wood shop, library, laundry room, and half bath. Downstairs is inaccessible to guests, but we will gladly give you a tour if time allows during your stay. Upstairs in the living area, you will find a large open living room and kitchen area. The bedroom and office space is separated by traditional Japanese Shoji sliding doors. Rob’s love of Japanese culture is evident in the design and artwork in the Barn.
In the summer months, we have an herb and vegetable garden. In the backyard, there is a a geodesic dome (the igloo-like structure) where we currently grow lime trees. You will see in the side yard the beginnings of a goat paddock and a chicken coop, both works in progress! The path behind the barn leads to a small pond which is especially serene in summertime. If you go for a walk and call for the cats, they usually get very excited about a walk to the pond. They even have a "cat walk" to help them get to the pond after a big rain.
Please note that the Barn is unsafe for children and infants. These requests will be declined.

Hey, I'm Sam! I'm a native Tennessean. I relocated to the Eastern Shore of Maryland in 2018 to begin my career as an emergency veterinarian. Shortly after, I met my partner Rob. Together we enjoy hosting guests at our little piece of paradise in the woods. We (mostly Rob) recently finished converting our camper van and plan to hit the road soon!
