This private 4 bedroom/4 bathroom home is located in the prestiges neighborhood of Joatinga. This is considered the Beverly Hills of Rio de Janeiro. It is a gated, 24 hour security neighborhood with it's own beach. This home had a Brand New pool and barbecue area. The kitchen has everything you need. All appliances are imported from the US. You will sleep well in high quality cotton sheets and enjoy the plush comfort of imported towels. Come live like a Carioca in this beautiful home.

The space
The house sits on the side of the mountain in the jungle where you will live harmoniously in nature with the monkeys, toucans and other rain forest life. Your view will be of the very famous Pedra da Gavea mountain. Quite spectacular! All this within a few minutes of our small town.

The house was build by the famous Brazilian Architect Zanini who was ahead of his time using mainly recycled demolition wood and other materials. Most of the furniture and furnishings were all imported from Bali, India and other parts of Asia. You will feel like you have stepped into a tropical paradise retreat.

The Entrance level-
Living room, dinning room, bathroom, kitchen, laundry facilities(washer currently not working),Verandah, out side Barbecue area, large deck for entertaining, pool and a garage for 2 cars.

The Second Level-
#1 bedroom suite with king size American bed(2-people)has A/C and ceiling fan, Flat screen TV.
#2 bedroom 2 Single beds (2 people) ceiling fan(shared bathroom)
#3 bedroom 1 Queen size bed (2 people)A/C, Ceiling Fan (shared bathroom)
#4 bedroom suite with Queen size bed (2 people) A/C, ceiling fan and TV.

The Third Level-
Large open family room space with antique Daybed, bathroom with sink and toilet. (day bed can sleeps 2 people as it is a queen mattress). Sorry, TV is no longer working in this area. We are working on it.

The house has A/C in most of the bedrooms and ceiling fans in most places as well.

TV's located in bedroom #1, bedroom #4, kitchen.

The house is simple and rustic, yet has everything you will need to feel at home.

Hello,
I am an American married to a Brazilian and we have a multiculti daughter. We live part of the time in Rio de Janeiro Brazil and part in La Jolla California. Then the rest of the time we love to travel!

I first came to Rio in 2003 for work in the Fashion industry. It just so happened my now husband was my then agent. He showed me the local style of Rio and I instantly feel in love. Well, at first with the City and the country and later him. : )

Andre, is a huge water guy, he surfs- stand-up, Kite and short board. He is a triathlete. Needless to say we spend most of our time outside, at the beach or around the beach life style. I on the other hand, love Yoga, meditation, cooking, gardening, a good book, dance, good wine, fashion, interior design and most of all travel!

We are fortunate to be a family that travels internationally many times each year. My daughter is bilingual and working on her third language, (mandrin).

In one of my many past careers I was a professional Dancer and had the good fortune of working for a famous band. I traveled all over the world for 5 years. It was a special time and an honer and a pleasure to have the experience of knowing so many incredible placed and people. It would be very hard to pick one but I must say the Magical Island of Bali is my all time favorite.

I am here to help as much as possible. I am usually out of the county but feel free to send me messages and I will respond as soon as possible! I do have staff locally available who are much closer and quicker to respond, do to time changes etc. They will give you there info once you arrive.
