Where you’ll be

Atzara, Sardegna, Italy

Atzara, the city of wine, has a strong connotation of agricultural practices and traditional knowledge and is part of the Mandrolisai, an inter-municipal geographical area with a strong enogastronomic vocation.
Known since the Middle Ages for its excellent wine production, thanks to the presence of numerous vineyards and a particular microclimate.
The historic center is divided into the ancient districts of Su Fruscu, Lodine, Montiga and josso, Montiga and Susu, Sa Cora Manna, Su Cuccuru de Santu Giorgi and Tzùri, with old houses and buildings of a more monumental character built mainly in granite.
Of some importance is the church of San Giorgio, built before 1205. Characteristic is the parish church of Sant'Antioco martire, from the end of the 15th century, with a simple smooth facade and large central rose window, in Aragonese Gothic style and a previous bell tower in romantic style.
Nearby are the remains of "domus de janas" (locality of Corongiu Senes), "tombs of the giants" and the nuraghe of Abbagadda.

Ciao, I'm Mario! I was born in Atzara (Nu), and from there I emigrated to Milan where I started my experience in catering.

I have always had a very strong bond with my land, and its traditions. About ten years ago I started producing wine in my country of origin, Atzara, and soon after, with my partner Roderik, we started a holiday home project.some ten years ago and now I am shuttling between Holland and Sardinia to complete my life project.
