With views from the elevated deck to the river and the rolling hills, you will find a place to unwind, relax and recharge in this unique and intimate country escape. Once a storage shed for corn and grain, now a luxurious, cosy retreat for two. Breathe the fresh country air, take a dip in the pristine waters of the river, enjoy a wine by the fire while stargazing, or picnic on the hillside. Immerse yourself in the rainforest whilst enjoying Ladies Well and the many walks of the National Park.

The space
St Helena is nestled into the foothills of Barrington Tops with the National Park with all its wonders only a few kilometres down the road. The farm covers 300 acres of hillside paddocks and some native bushland. We are bordered on one side by the beautiful Allyn River with pockets of grassy, sunny riverbanks, shady rocky outcrops, and lush rainforest.

St Helena River Retreat was born out of a labour of love to save two old farm buildings and a hope to be able to share this gorgeous part of the world with others. The Dairy and the Grain Shed have now come back to life in a new way.

St Helena Grainery has everything you will need to enjoy an intimate stay, within the four walls of the old Grain Shed. One bright and cosy room hosting a queen bed, ensuite bathroom, comfy leather lounge, indoor fireplace, TV with DVD's, satellite internet, and fully equipped kitchen with eating area, dishwasher, oven, hotplates, microwave and full size refrigerator. The deck offers gorgeous views of the river and a space for cooking, eating and relaxing with your own private BBQ, 2 seater lounge and outdoor dining.

Birdlife and wallabies are abundant here on the farm, so you can expect to see wallabies grazing outside your door, and perhaps see our local Wedgetail eagles. You may even be lucky enough to meet up with an echidna or platypus down by the river.

During your stay

Hello! I'm Kerry. My husband Paul and I are the proud owners of "St Helena" our beautiful farm. Our farmhouse is located at the entrance to the property and is approximately 100 metres away from St Helena Grainery and St Helena Dairy.

We spend quite a lot of our time at the farm, so you can expect to see us around whilst you are staying. One of our sheds is quite close to the accommodation so we may need to pop over your way at times, or drive through up into the paddocks whilst you are staying.

If you have any questions or are in need of anything during your stay you are very welcome to call us or come and speak with us.

If we are not in residence whilst you are staying we will ensure that guests are able to contact someone local in case of an emergency.

Prior to booking you are also welcome to message or email any questions you may have.
