Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape.

Set in rice fields a few kilometres from the nearest village, join us at our home in one of Thailand’s less well known provinces, Kalasin.

You’ll have a private double bedroom with its own bathroom and direct access to a 27 square metre balcony, the perfect place to read, write, work, or just listen and watch as nature takes it’s course.

The space
Your view will be The One Tree we named our newly established farm after, which is next to our family rice fields.

The room is a small but adequate space. We think you’ll spend most of your time outside, so you can walk out your room directly on to our huge balcony, or even walk around our garden.

Where you’ll be

Kham Ta Klai, กาฬสินธุ์, Thailand

We’re surrounded by fields and trees, and while we are called The One Tree Farm it’s our goal to fill our land with trees, fruits and vegetables - with maybe an animal or two along the way.

Nights are dark. Very dark. Night skies are very bright. Sunrise and sunset are often breathtaking. And we usually get a breeze to take the heat out of the air.

The closest village is 2km away and our road is a red dirt track. We are about 2 hours from any airport - Khon Kaen, Roi Et and Sakhon Nakhon are all equidistant.

Most sounds you hear are the birds and insects, with occasional village radio in the distance and some neighbours playing music, but generally it’s pretty quiet.

We live with nature so there are more than a few animals around. Lizards, geckos, insects, birds, spiders … they kind of share our house space (mostly on the outside). If you don’t fancy this our room isn’t the place for you. I never knew so many insects existed until I moved here ;)

We also have a dog, Dudley. He’s friendly but loves to bark to show he’s the boss, then quickly comes for cuddles.
