Looking for a delightful, homey place to stay in Colorado Springs close to major highways, dining, shopping, and the airport? This quaint, sunshine-yellow bungalow on the pleasant east side of town is just right! With 3 beds and 2 baths, it will comfortably accommodate groups of up to 8. Just 7 minutes from a public golf course, 16 minutes from Downtown Colorado Springs, and under 30 minutes from a long list of popular attractions including parks, canyons, natural wonders, museums and more.

The space
This welcoming, sunny yellow bungalow provides a cozy and convenient home base you can return to after full, exhilarating days of exploring this wondrous and richly entertaining area of Colorado. Tastefully decorated and appointed for a soothing, trouble-free stay, you’ll find it a pleasant, homey alternative to cold and impersonal hotel rooms.

Pull into the wide driveway (large enough to accommodate several vehicles) and smile. This cheerful abode seems to say “welcome” at first glimpse. The front door is tucked into a covered nook and opens into an open concept living space that’s perfect for sharing quality “together time.”

Under a high sloped ceiling, a plush sofa and recliner provide ultra-comfy seating in view of a large TV and fireplace. A dining table for four is bathed in the light of sliding glass doors leading to an outdoor patio with a grill, picnic table, and two chairs for al fresco dining. Please note that the outdoor firepit is not for use. All outdoor open wood burning fires are prohibited.

You’ll have an open view into the kitchen over a lengthy breakfast bar/island with two stools and a double-basin sink built into the granite top. The kitchen is well-lit, but softly so, from recessed lighting. You’ll find the kitchen well-equipped for preparing meals at home, with full-size appliances including a refrigerator/freezer, range with oven, microwave and dishwasher. There’s plenty of cabinet storage and a generous island work surface and counters. Other conveniences include kitchen utensils, a stocked spice rack, a coffee maker, toaster, and tea kettle.

Just off of the kitchen, enjoy a dedicated laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer.
Two bedrooms in the home provide queen-size beds and closets for tidy storage of garments. The largest of the three includes a king-size bed, a private adjoining full bath with a tub/shower combo, a TV, reading chair, and ceiling fan. This can double as a TV-watching space for kids when adults are enjoying conversation and cocktails in the living room.

A second full bath provides a tub/shower combo and plenty of vanity space for guests to share.
Hotel-grade linens are professionally laundered after every visit. This home is managed by a local vacation rental specialist, and there’s a sense of quality and care that’s worthy of your 5-star review.

This home is located in a lovely residential area on the east side of Colorado Springs with a back yard bordered by East Fork Sand Creek, and a sand disc golf course just a stone’s throw away. You’ll appreciate quick and easy access to plentiful casual dining options, a multi-plex movie theater, and everyday shopping, including a supermarket just two minutes away and other large retailers. Golf enthusiasts take note: Cherokee Ridge Golf Course (one of many in the area) is a public 9-hole course just 6 minutes away by car. You’re also moments away from Highway 24, which will connect you with everything you’ll want to see in the area. Colorado Springs Airport is a 16-minute drive.

While the greater Colorado Springs region is known for being a paradise for outdoors enthusiasts, there’s something for everyone within easy reach. Getting to central Colorado Springs by car takes less than 20 minutes. Visitors are particularly drawn to Downtown and Old Colorado City, two neighborhoods offering enticing cultural, shopping, and dining options.

Everywhere you turn, you’ll find a park, a trail, a view. Opportunities abound for hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, rafting, skiing, ziplining and more. The dramatic, diverse terrain will keep you gasping – and reaching for your camera. Two favorite sights are the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, home to ancient rock formations soaring 300 feet overhead (20 minutes), and Pikes Peak (“America’s Mountain”) standing at 14,115 feet above sea level (36 minutes).
