Basic but comfy single room in big apartment in North London.

Relaxed, atmosphere, a workspace in your room. facilities are clean.

The room's cosy and while the bed is only a fold-out, it is a surprisingly restful sleep.

The room is small. It's a shared bathroom and there's no lock on your door.

The room connects to the main space in the apartment so there are often meetings and people passing through. Most guests are happy w the room but perhaps not a place for light sleepers.

The space
This is an ideal and private base for a city break or business trip.

There is a cat here too.

Guests often say the place feels like an artist's home. It is definitely not done up to the latest spec. It is basic. But big, clean, friendly and you have all the privacy you want in nice surroundings.

Where you’ll be

Greater London, England, United Kingdom

A North London neighbourhood that is both typical and unique. Wide tree-lined streets, grand Victorian terraces, many green spaces and 24 hour thoroughfares nearby. The centre of town is 25 mins by public transport and there are plenty of local, cultural places and amenities.

3-5 mins walk: Turkish restaurants on Green Lanes and many cafes and restaurants around Newington Green (which lays claim, among other things, to being the birthplace of feminism).

20-25 mins walk: Arsenal Stadium, Upper Street, Islington (music & comedy venues, a theatre, cinemas, bars & restaurants), vibrant Dalston and Stoke Newington Church Street, with its cafes, bookshops and independent shops which feels like a village in the centre of the city.

You are 5 mins away from Clissold Park and 15 mins walk from Highbury Fields, both grand old London parks. The intense and sprawling Abney Park Cemetery is nearby too.

You are on the New River Walk which, at the end of the road, turns into a tranquil riverside pathway, winding down toward Islington behind the great old houses of Canonbury.
