Relaxing from the stress of everyday life, enjoying pure tranquility and recharging your batteries: that's what the Yellow Lapland House is for.
You will find your cosy and functional cottage about 80 kilometers south of the Arctic Circle, nestled between gentle hills, dark lakes and mysterious moors. A place that fascinates in every season - be it in summer with its "white nights", in autumn with its splendour of colours or in winter, when the Northern Lights magically dance in the dark...

The space
The living room invites you to relax with a spacious sofa set (extendable to 2 beds); a highlight is the large wood-burning fireplace with panoramic window, which in winter (but not only then ;-)) after an eventful day in the snow spreads warmth and caresses the soul with its flame play.

Where you’ll be

Arvidsjaur, Norrbotten, Sweden

The Yellow Lapland House can be found in the territory of the municipality of Arvidsjaur – one of the least populated municipalities in Sweden with a population of just one per square kilometre.
The small hamlet of Pilträsk, in which our house is located, is located about halfway between the two main towns of Arvidsjaur and Älvsbyn – both of them with a distance of about 60 kilometers also the nearest shopping facilities.
Access to the house is via one of the gravel roads typical of northern Sweden; traffic on the same rarely exceeds 10 vehicles a day.
The nearest train station (with night train connection to Stockholm) can be found in Älvsbyn; there are airports in Arvidsjaur (with winter charter direct flights from Germany) and about 120km away in Luleå (with some very inexpensive scheduled services to Germany via Stockholm).
A car of your own is essential for a holiday in Lapland – there is a public bus network, but it only serves the main roads and does not run too fast. A selection of car rental companies can be found, for example, at Luleå Airport.
The nearest lake – the Pilträsket, our "Haussee" – is about 500m from the house; the next bathing spot in the Ljusträsket is just 5 km away.
And also the fascinating mountains of the subarctic fells can still be reached with justifiable effort.
