This cabin is in the woods, close to the Boyd Lake access. The cabin is rustic and perfect for those guests trying to escape the city and enjoy outdoors.

The space
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Sit on the porch, around the fire pit, or inside with the warm natural wood. This is a great location to unplug, be inspired, and unwind from the hustle of modern living. Great off the water place for children, yet close enough for adults to go and enjoy the cool fresh water.

Upstairs has been finished in V match knotty pine, and has a queen bed behind a privacy wall, along with two single beds on the opposite side. There is a nice simple work space for keeping up with your 9-5 remotely.

Entire property is for guest use. There is a woods path/road, that goes down to the waterfront, which is also the public boat landing.

Please be aware, you are 2.2 miles off the main road. We have gotten some 4 star feedback for location because of its distance away from everything. This is an easy to get to location, on a well maintained dirt road. Please locate Boyd Lake on the gps and make sure you are aware of it’s location from the city of Bangor or Orono (30 miles).

If you want to get away from the traffic and people, this is a fantastic place to be.

12 miles to Lagrange General store, for gas, alcohol, and misc items.

14 miles to Rogers Market (heading toward city of Bangor) for gas and hardware store, along with pizza, sandwiches, and alcohol.

If you are flying into Bangor Maine, the cottage is about 40 minutes away from the airport.

Bangor has several great places to eat, including seafood. Our favorites include Blaze, Timber Kitchen, and Hightide. Our next best places are Masons, Seadog, and Margaritas (Orono).

If you are planning to visit Acadia National Park, you should plan for about 1hr 45 minute drive to the park. The views are beautiful there and there are plenty of great places to enjoy seafood right in Bar Harbor.

Should you want to hike in the area, the mount Katahdin / Baxter Park is only 1hr 45 minutes away as well.
