Near the heart of Downtown Des Moines sits this historic, fully remodeled, 4 bed & 2 bath home that can sleep up to 10 guests comfortably.

Our 1910 home offers a patio off the back, fire-pit and grill. Office in the 4th bedroom on the main level & queen sofa sleeper. Spacious kitchen w/cooking essentials. Fast WIFI. Smart TVs in every room. Within two miles of the Iowa Event Center, Wells Fargo Arena & Hospitals. 10min from the Airport. Walking distance to local restaurants, shops and parks.

The space
Kitchen: updated with granite counters to allow your inner chef to flow. Basic cooking utensils, salt/pepper/cooking spray, baking dishes, pots and pans, toaster, blender, and a coffee maker (with coffee packs, teabags, creamer and sweetener to get you started).

Dining: off of the kitchen you will find a dining room with a table for six. We also offer additional seating at the bar for three more guests. Space-saver highchair available in the laundry closet, if needed.

Living Room: when you walk in the front door, you will be greeted by a cozy family room with a queen sized pull-out-couch. The living room also offers an electric fireplace and a flat-screen smart tv to allow you to login to all your favorite streaming services during your stay.

Bedrooms: upstairs you will find three bedrooms and a full bathroom. All three of the bedrooms are equipped with queen beds. All bedrooms have memory foam mattresses, dressers, smart TVs, and nightstands with smart lamps to easily charge your phone at night. Pack-N-Play available in a bedroom closet if needed.

Bathrooms: our home offers two full bathrooms. One bathroom is upstairs with the bedrooms, and the other is on the main level. Each bathroom is fully stocked with fresh towels (10 sets total in the house), shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Patio: off the back of the house you will have full access to a partially fenced in private backyard, jungle gym for the kids to play, a propane grill, and a fire-pit (wood not provided). Perfect for those family BBQs.

Office: a quiet office is conveniently located in the 4th bedroom on the main level with a desk, queen sleeper sofa and smart tv. There is a sliding barn door to allow for privacy from the main room while you work.

Laundry: first floor washer and dryer available with enough detergent to start off your stay. Ironing board and iron are also accessible in the laundry closet for your convenience.

Parking: Free, off-street parking in the driveway. The garage will not be accessible.

We are conveniently located near the center of Downtown Des Moines. Five minute drive to the Iowa Events Center, Wells Fargo Arena, and all major Hospitals. Also, just a few minutes from the Downtown Farmers Market (Saturday mornings May-October) and the Science Center of Iowa.

Additionally, you will find yourself close to all of our annual events, such as: World Food and Music Festival, The Des Moines Art Festival, and of course the Iowa State Fair.

Within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and bars (two blocks from the Ingersoll District)

A quick ten minute drive to the Des Moines Airport and to the Blank Park Zoo

Hey! Matt and Mariah here. We are couple of entrepreneurs that enjoy getting our hands into projects. When we aren’t updating, renovating, or building something, we are wrangling up our crazy offspring. We have three kids under five years, and never have a dull moment in life.

For fun, we love to “weekend travel” to nearby cities. Otherwise, you will find us thriving outdoors with our horse/dogs, riding ATVs, and spending evenings around a bonfire with close friends or family.
