The Birchview Suite is in the lower level of our home and is totally closed off from us. It features two french doors that lead out to the large flagstone patio area, which is the main entrance. There's a full kitchen for you to prepare meals. We have a private dock 1/4 mile from the cottage and offer complementary use of kayaks, row boats, and canoes! We also have a pontoon for rent. Plenty of hiking and biking opportunities can be found on and off the resort. State Trails are also nearby.

The space
This unique cottage features an open concept between the kitchen and living room and boasts 9 ft. barn wood ceilings throughout as well as exposed aggregate stone floors with in floor heating. The living room walls are made with real birch logs from our land! This cozy bungalow features a beautiful field stone fireplace to keep you toasty on those cold winter nights. The view is awesome with lots of windows lakeside to enjoy the beautiful Birch trees and of course all the wild life on Tuscobia Lake. Two french doors lead out to the spacious flagstone patio area from the great room and the master bedroom. A great space to just sit and relax. There is also a fire pit fully stocked with wood, dining table, and grill for you to use.

Stonehaven is located just a couple miles from the north end of the city of Rice Lake and about 6 miles to the major retail areas of the city. The Tuscobia Trail is just 2 miles north of us and there are several skiing trails, golf courses, restaurants and other entertainment venues within 20 miles of us. The Wild Rivers snowmobile and ATV trail can be accesses right from our north driveway. There is some traffic noise although not heard hardly at all inside. Saturday nights the noise from the Rice Lake Speedway can be heard. The speedway is about a mile away and the level of noise varies based on the wind direction.

I am 59 years old and I have been married to my wife Lori for 38 years. As owners, we are living in the upper level of the Birchview Suite which is totally closed off and has a separate entrance. If you need anything, we are just a phone call away. One of us is available almost 100% of the time.
