The Garden House Cottage is a beautifully remodeled old farm barn. Modern boho farmhouse style. This place has charm galore.
You'll love the peace and quiet of the country and the gardens are professionally landscaped and maintained. The space
I would first like to address the one poor review that I have received. I fully believe that this person was a scammer and concocted a story about mold in order to get a full refund and stay for free. I have had the space professionally tested for mold and mildew and all results were negative. I have not had one single mention or one single complaint from any other guests. I myself have terrible allergies and I stayed out there for three nights in order to see if I had any reaction. I had none. It's really unfortunate that one person's bad review can affect my business. THAT SAID.
Guests at Redbud Farm LOVE my friendly pets (NO GUEST PETS ALLOWED), the beautiful gardens, and the peace and calm to re-energize. Your private space includes a kitchenette, bedroom, and walk in closet. You'll love the comfy queen bed.. not too soft not too firm. The kitchenette offers a toaster oven, sink, microwave, coffee pot, glasses and silverware etc... Great for making some meals, but not a full kitchen. There are locks on each door of your rooms to ensure privacy as well as locks in the bathroom doors to ensure privacy. There is also a sitting room in the barn that is used primarily as a bride and bridesmaids suite when I do weddings. The sitting area is considered a shared space and has no heating or cooling. please think of this space as a bonus but not part of the listing. I may find it necessary to go in and out of that part of the building.
Also, please no young children, please don't ask, there are no exceptions.

In my opinion the country life can't be beat. It's quiet. (usually... lol) My closest neighbor is a quarter mile away. You can see the stars at night. The views are of forests and fields and flowers.
If you want to explore there are some great trails very nearby at the Rabbit River nature preserve. The Outdoor Discovery Center is an awesome stop and they have a large rehab center for birds of prey. Another park well worth checking out with lots of trails and a nice creek is Silver Creek Park. Silver Creek Park is also a horse park. So expect to see and smell horses.
There are a lot of road bikers in this area. The large country roads with wide shoulders are great for road biking. Feel free to bring along your bikes.
Golfing! Diamond Springs Golf course is just 1.5 miles away. I hear it's a very lovely course.
Saugatuck and Holland just 20 minutes away.
Allegan fifteen minutes (mugshots coffee and Cafe and the Riverwalk is WELL worth checking out)
Grand Rapids 30 minutes.

I'm a friendly person who enjoys traveling and learning about other people and cultures. I've realized that there is so much to learn about micro cultures right here in the U.S.A., although I've done a decent amount of traveling abroad as well.
I enjoy breweries, hiking, camping, reading, horseback riding, and antiquing,to name a few hobbies.
I own a landscaping company and do floral design for landscapes, pots, window boxes etc. ..I LOVE my job and feel so fortunate to say that's true.

I'm always happy to socialize a bit with my guests. I do host another listing called The Granary at Redbud Farm. Feel free to check out reviews about me and the property on that listing. I generally get a feel pretty early on if guests want to be left to themselves or if they're looking for a bit of interaction. I'm Happy to chat a bit about the property and all the work I've put into it during the past 14 years.some guests I interact with a lot, while others I barely see. I really try to leave it up to the guest with how much they want to interact with me. It is a lot of work to maintain the garden so I'm constantly around the yard fussing with something or other. I do try to make myself scarce though in order to stay out of the view of guests unless they approach me.
