Where you’ll be

Isle of Wight, England, United Kingdom

Ryde is a lovely, vibrant small town with a range of independent boutiques and cafes/restaurants as well as cultural and artistic venues. We have many local recommendations in our Guidebook for guests.

Ryde beach is pretty hard to beat, it is a gorgeous safe, sandy beach with beautiful views over to the Mainland. In summertime there is always something happening on the weekends and in the evenings and the whole town is lively, whilst in the wintertime it is a great place for beautiful coastal walks. From our house you can walk straight onto the beach and along as far as you like!

The beach at Ryde has become very popular for kite surfing (wind dependent) and there are local companies renting stand up paddle boards, and kayaks. It’s a fantastic place for wild sea swimming, and our place is an excellent starting point for round the Island cycling. There are excellent surfing beaches nearby with lessons and board hire available.

The Island itself offers many visitor attractions, and has miles of beautiful beaches and glorious countryside. The house is offered for rent during Cowes week and for use during the Isle of Wight Festival.
