This is a private family run property near Manuel Antonio in the rainforest overlooking the Naranjo river. Enjoy spectacular mountain views, sounds of the Naranjo River, excellent birding, trails on the property leading directly to a waterfall, and immense natural beauty. We have a 66 sq m elevated teak wood platform perfect for yoga, meditation, reading, or dancing. Reconnect with nature and your loved ones at this unforgettable jungle escape.

The space
The property is set on a lovely forested section of land that has been built with a lot of heart and soul. Every trail and many of the structures have been made with river rocks that have been brought up from below. The tents are very simple and comfortable and allow one to connect completely with their natural surroundings. We have compost toilets to avoid waste and beautiful private outdoor showers. There are 2 identical tents with a capacity of 4 people overlooking the river. If you are traveling with friends, you may rent out both tents and have the entire ecolodge to yourselves including the common areas such as the rancho/kitchen and yoga/meditation/event platform.

Very important: Our kitchen is fully equipped for you to bring groceries to cook your own meals. We have a full size refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, electric skillet and all other necessary cooking utensils. There is no restaurant or bar on the property but our neighbor Dona Luz can cook also cook meals in her home for you for around $6. Advanced notice is appreciated.

Also: There is no cell service or wifi on property and we choose to keep it that way. We understand that is not for everyone but if it is, enjoy the digital detox.

The town of Esquipulas is located 35 minutes from Manuel Antonio into the rainforested mountains alongside the Naranjo River. Esquipulas has just a few local families and is very quiet and safe. Mostly you will hear the birds singing and the sounds of the river flowing by.
