We are about 20 minutes from Sturgis, half an hour from Deadwood, and 40 minutes from Rapid City.
The nighttime sky is very dark for viewing all the constellations; we have solar lights around the house, but it can be dark without a flashlight. Please keep in mind we are in the forest, and there are bugs, flying insects, and small critters. We work very hard to keep them out of the house!

The space
Once a Stagecoach stop, this late 1900's house has been newly updated and remodeled to include 4 bedrooms (upstairs) with walk in closets, comfortable pillowtop mattresses, several pillow options for sleeping comfort. Main level keyless entry lets you into the kitchen - gas stove, microwave, full size (new) refrigerator, (new) dishwasher, and all the dishes, utensils you need to prepare a meal. The large dining area offers a full self-service coffee bar, including french press, slow drip, single serve coffee options, and vintage-style coffee grinder to grind your own coffee beans (not provided). Guest laundry area is off the kitchen. At the top of the stairs there's a quiet book nook filled with area travel books, assorted novels, and the best part, a view of the barn and national forest. that borders our property on 3 sides.

Where you’ll be

Easy access to Centennial Trail and ATV Trail system - adjacent to our property. We have several areas to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. A front deck with view of Custer Peak - chairs, table with umbrella, and steps to the ground. There's another ground level covered deck at the back door, and also a fire pit seating area in the back yard.
We are located less than ½ mile from the town of Nemo. There is a great restaurant, the Branding Iron, also a small convenience store with gas, mercantile at the Nemo Guest ranch, post office, church, and volunteer fire department. There are also options available for Horseback Trail Rides and ATV/UTV Rentals.
There is not a grocery store, so you will want to buy your food and other needs in either Sturgis, Rapid City, or Deadwood.
